Mongolian beef was pretty much Mongolian onions. It was 90% onions and other garbage and had 7 strips of beef.

Completely edible food in the Cragin/Portage Park neighborhood. I ordered something super standard - sweet & sour chicken. Portion wasn't as heaping huge as I'm used to from Chinese spots, but that wasn't a big issue for me. It came with fried rice and I couldn't find an option to switch to plain white rice. They kept the sauce seperate which was appreciated as I wasn't eating it right away. Taste was just fine though not the best sweet & sour chicken. It certainly got the job done! Service was very friendly when I went in to pick up my order which was prepared very quickly. All in all, not a bad option for Chinese if you're in the area.

The young girl who takes the orders for take out or eating in. She has absolutely NO personality at all. Very cold. When you ask her a question, she just nods her head up and down. She is not fit behind the counter.It takes a second to greet someone with a hi. Or just be polite.It's very rude. Food may be good, but customer service is terrible. They need to find another cashier.

I found China Chef when I first moved to Avondale about 4 years ago and they are still my go-to Chinese spot. They deliver within an hour and their portions are massive considering the price. Always polite and the food has always tasted good. I like the pot stickers, hot and sour soup, orange chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, and the crab rangoons are OK (not the best I've ever had).If you are looking for a reliable place to satisfy your Chinese craving, look no more!

Very nice people, good food, and an excellent value across their menu. Been here maybe 4 or 5 times. Usually I'll stop by late or after a visit to the grocery store, as it's a shared parking lot. Shrimp fried rice with orange chicken, plus a can of pop and a spring roll, or egg roll-or whatever they are called all for under $8 made my long day end on a high note. Seriously must just have gained 5 pounds because try servings were massive.Noticed another reviewed believed they deserved the absolutely lowest review because they stopped delivering to them? Sounds a bit harsh...maybe even spiteful. Maybe they're being forced find a new place-that they previously loved, because they were unpleasant to deliver to and did not wish to offend them by offering an explanation. I am Thankful this place is close by my home, so I supposed I may be biased as I have never had them deliver. And prefer to pick up myself anyways.

Only been here twice. Had food once, second time a smoothie. Mongolian Beef with fried rice, was ok. The banana smoothie was very watered down and barely any tapioca in it. I was the only person there yesterday, besides a guy sitting eating his food. It took 15 minutes to get the smoothie. They are located within a shared parking lot with Tony's, Subway, some store pretending to be a Dollar store, and a nail shop.

I'm new in the area I was reading some reviews and saw one about the girl been rude I was there yesterday 7/21/19 around 6:55pm only one there I wanted to see if she was the one in the review. A girl was there she took my order and she was nice I ask I wanted a combination of meats she suggested a plate, this was my first time eating here food was delicious and fresh price was decent overall this is going to be my spot 3 min away walking...
