Definitely worth a stop by. A destination restaurant if you are visiting Arizona. The enter experience of dining and along with getting to enjoy the meal.

Sadly, it seems this family owned business has changed hands or changed chefs/recipes. China Chef has been a favorite of our for years. Delicious food and good portions. We ordered a few weeks ago and noticed a change, but thought it might just be an off night. Unfortunately, we ordered again last week and it was worse. The Wor Wonton soup was sweet (and not sweet as in good). The Orange Chicken is usually medium sized pieces and crunchy, but this time was tiny pieces and soggy.

What a surprise! And I'm not talking Good. We stopped in coming home from the Airport. What a mistake. We sat down at 4:58pm and the lady handed us menus. We'd just started making up our minds and she comes back with different menus. "It's after 5 now and you have to use this menu!" The prices for the exact same thing were TWICE as MUCH! Ok, I get it. I ordered shrimp and vegetables after she said there were 10 shrimp or more. I thought, "wow, for $15+ that's good"! NO, not good. I think there were a total of 2 shrimp and they cut them up into small pieces!! Oh my! The wife couldn't even swallow her "cardboard" sesame chicken. The lady was nice, but the "chef", if that's what he calls himself, should be fired immediately! Avoid this place. We couldn't believe how bad it was cause it used to be ok.

This mom and pop spots has some delicious eats. Don't little the outside aesthetic fool you. This hidden gem packs full flavor dishes. We tried a variety today. I would travel back just for the egg foo young and egg drop soup. Fresh food and Fast, friendly service. *(Food is cooked to order and brought out course style)*

That is some of the nastiest food I have ever gotten. Nothing was good. We had noodles that were sooooooooooo over cooked they disintegrate on the fork. It was all just gross. Even the regular rice was bad. The egg rolls had to have been frozen, even the fried won ton were burnt.

We went hiking at Dreamy Draw & worked up quite an appetite afterwards. Since we were in the neighborhood we decided to try something near us. China chef bistro popped up & we gave it a shot. I'm glad we did!We were pleasantly surprised, it is terrific American Chinese food. The general tso's, fried rice, orange chicken & kung pao all hit the spot over the last two visits we have made. We will continue to explore the menu but these were all delicious & their sauces are fresh & house-made. Lots garlic, stuff that's supposed to be spicy is actually spicy, the veggies are fresh tasting & not overcooked. Portion sizes are significant in-house but take out is slightly less but still plenty enough. I think it's primarily a take out spot but we ate in the first time & our waitress was friendly, helpful & attentive. We were happy to have her share her recommendations. We will continue to visit for some pretty epic post hike grub. It's too good to pass up while we are in the area.

Great take out optionI stumbled upon China Chef Bistro by accident and thought it could be a great choice for take out (dinner) and I was right.On this visit we shared Mongolian Beef, Pot Stickers, and crab puffs. Our entrees were fresh, served hot and the portion sizes are more the generous. The Mongolian Beef was tender, well seasoned and very flavorful. The crab puffs andvoit stickers were some of my favorites, the best I've hadvin a while. I will most definitely come back. Great service, tasty entrees, and wallet friendly pricing

Extremely salty. I read the reviews and couldn't believe so many were highly positive. Soup, wor wonton, was almost sweet, wontons were just overly doughy ( nothing inside), theOther ingredients were good, chicken beef, a shrimpAnd fresh veggies. Mongolian chicken was way too salty and very thick with onions and scallions. House special lomein was the best of the 3 though it too had more salt than was necessary. The cook needs to learn how to cook without so much salt. Waiting for the fluid retention to spring up! Ugh. The woman at the register was exceptionally nice and engaging and feel sorry for such a poor review. Food needs to reflect fresh ingredients not to be covered up by adding so much salt.

Called to order for delivery Was told they won't take order over the phone only via website.I am very sorry they are losing my business like this as we have loved ordering food from them for many years.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was horrible. I could tell mgmnt changed. Chicken was cut almost in tiny nuggets and didn't seem fried like previous owners.Will not be ordering from them again. Waste of money.
