A group of us came for a birthday celebration. We sat at a round table. Food is still very spicy and authentic. Our favorites are Salt and Pepper Fried Squid Tentacles with Dried Chilli Pepper, Deep-Fried Breaded Pumpkin with Salted Egg Yolks and Deep-Fried Pork Spareribs with Garlic

Got take out as my husband and I were in town to help out with our sons new baby. Our son and daughter in law have been here many times and recommended it. We also enjoyed it and would recommend it.

We were on our way back to Seattle on Thanksgiving after a day on the coast and most places were closed. But this place was open. So we decided to sit down and have some food. The restaurant is well lit and nicely furnished. The menu has lots of vegetarian options. Service was polite, efficient, and reasonably fast. The food was very tasty and quite spicy. Portions were generous. I would certainly go back to sit down of take away.

My cousin and I were looking for a szechuan place to eat at and came here, not realizing we had came here before when it was Wild Pepper Szechuan. We started with a fried chicken appetizer, like a karaage, and that was good. Then we got the Stir-Fried Beef w/ Cilantro and Fresh Chilli Sauce and the Pork Intestine Dried Pot. They were both good, but I thought the stir-fried beef was a bit too salty. Staff was very friendly. Wouldn't mind coming back again to try other stuff.

I'd give this place a 3 star if it isn't for the kindness of the owner lady. So here are the good- It's next to a half price book store.- the menu is well made and it's easy to read- establishment is clean and well lit and comfortable- price feels reasonable for 2022And when it comes to food, that's where it doesn't really shine. Depending on whats ordered, it's hit and miss and even the better dishes are just very mediocre. I'd recommend it for a place to eat Chinese food with friends. And I think I'll be back to check on the improvement with food.

I love a tasty Chinese Szechuan restaurant and this place is very good! Fresh, spicy and delicious... plus the staff is very friendly. Anytime I visit Halfpriced Books I have to swing by for lunch and I'm never disappointed

Was torn what to give as far as rating. Restaurant is clean and well lit. Service was terrible. When she dropped menus off to table she was FaceTiming with someone and speaking in her native language. You could tell she was arguing with person as she was almost yelling at them at one point. So -5 stars for service. We had squid tentacles and scallion pancakes to start. Both decent. Squid was a little over cooked. For mains buddy and I shared ma's braised pork belly and beef with cilantro and garlic. The pork belly dish was a little oily and way to many peppers vs pork. The beef dish was absolutely amazing! So full of flavor. That dish is what's giving this a 3 star rating. The chili oil was good too. Both dishes had a nice spice level. I am pretty easy going when it comes to restaurants. But there was a lot to be fixed here. No ice with your water, she almost didn't refill our water. She finally came back before we were done.
