Whenever I'm visiting Distraction Brewing, driving through Roslindale or this time, checking out the Substation Beer Hall, I always stop at Chilacates for some great Mexican food! I find myself getting the same thing because it's *that* good: Al Pastor Bowl add: jalapeños, sour cream and maduros! Can't forget to add a bag of their homemade chips too!

It's no surprise that the food in this location is spot on and excellent, just as expected from my experiences in other locations. Haven't been disappointed yet with any of it (big fan of the shrimp, al pastor, naked bowls, enchiladas, tamales, and brunch items in particular, plus the tomatillo sauce you get on the side). It's the perfect spot for a filling lunch, a quick dinner, or a snack on the go. But the space in Rozzie is probably my favorite of the locations- large, bright, clean, airy, personality-filled, fun swings in the window, what looks to be a bar ready to be filled, and a small patio to the side. And *gasp* plenty of room to actually move around and socially distance, something that seems rare in the other locations. Service has been standard across my visits here- nothing to write home about but nothing to really complain about either, and it's fast casual so as long as staff isn't totally rude or forgetful, I'm happy.

Holy geez, this place is delicious! And not only that, but the art work is so amazingly colorful, simply beautiful. There are so many different options of what you can get from soft/hard tacos to burritos, tostados to taco salads & more. There are various additions for whatever you want to get. The staff are friendly & super helpful.I was glad to be able to get a veggie burrito. It was so damn tasty. Being able to eat outside where they have tables is also great. So yeah get here now & don't miss out.

Been ordering here for my lunch. My typical order is Naked Bowl, you get a choice of meat-choose from Chicken Tinga, Papas con chorizo, al pastor, pork en chile verde, lengua, grilled chicken, veggies. If you want to upgrade Grilled fish, carne asada, grilled shrimp, you just pay extra. , rice, pico, beans, cheese.(Tell 'em if you don't want any beans before you order if you don't like beans...)Tried Grilled Chicken, Chicken tinga, carnitas, carne asada. Al pastor is flavorful! Don't forget to grab mild and hot sauce.

The food is good, however these people need some lessons in customer service. Perhaps the two employees were having a bad day, or perhaps they had just had an argument, but they should put on a good face for customers.When I walked up to the counter, I was not greeted, just glared at with a look that would sour milk.Some work needs to be done in this area.

Absolutely recommend going (it's a chain so there are plenty in Boston so make sure you visit!) Tacos are definitely worth the price, especially the grilled fishy, carnitas and chicken tinga. I also loved the cute little outdoor seating area!!!

Burrito is good and filling. Even though it may look expensive, you definitely get what you pay for. I was full with some burrito left over. Definitely will come back when in the area to try other things on their menu.

Chilacates definitely gets five stars first of all, the quality of the food and speed. In every Chilacates location you go to, the flavor will always be the same and the portion sizes will also be the same. Definitely the best place to eat a burrito or a chicken cake. Not only that, it has a super delicious variety of food.
