Oh. My. God.Not only was the food REALLY good for the crazy cheap price, but the service was *incredible*. The woman who waited on us was such a sweetheart. Very kind, very cute, just precious! She gave me a sample of the most delicious pineapple smoothie I've ever had.Thank you so much for the endearing and welcoming experience!! Will definitely be back, what a diamond in the rough!!

Food was authentic and, as the Chinese say, muy delicioso! The service was friendly and quick. And the ambiance was definitely a Chinese restaurant. I would definitely go back againe.

Truly some of the best Chinese food I've had in Logan square. The general tso's chicken was perfectly crispy and well seasoned with just a little kick. The shrimp lo mein was saucy with a generous amount of big, plump shrimp. We dined in and the service was excellent. The dining room is adorable with lavender table cloths and Asian art work on the walls. It's a vibe for sure

General Tsos chicken was delish! & The crab Rangoon didn't come with any sauce to dip which I found odd. I did not reach out so I'm unsure if that was just a little mistake on our large order or their standard. All the food we got was great and we would go again!

This is not chinese food, the food tastes bad. Crab Rangoons are chewy. The sweet and sour chicken is over cooked and mostly just fried breading. Recently moved to Logan Square and won't try this place again unfortunately.

I love Van Phat! I get lunch here regularly (the Hunan Vegetables, which is very flavorful and spicy). The staff are very sweet and accommodate dietary preferences/restrictions (I'm vegetarian). It can take them a while to make your order since they only have one person cooking, but they're upfront about the wait so there are no surprises. In my experience, it has been well worth the wait!

2.5 stars. Wanted Chinese, and didn't know about Friendship down the street. Came in and was a bit hesitant but there were three tables of people, so I decided I'd give it a try. The place is a bit rundown but everyone's happiness made it bearable. Seating for about 20, but they do a big take out business I saw while here. Ordered egg rolls and beef and broccoli, which I thought would be safe. It was eh, at best. The broccoli was undercooked, the beef was slimy (the little bit that was in the dish), and the egg rolls were overcooked. The service was friendly though! Friendly, and attentive, but not overwhelming.

Try the Egg Foo Young. I typically get two meals out of one take-out order, and the price is certainly right, in light of that! It's delicious, as well!

We ordered 3 entrées thinking it would be a good mix of products. The sweet and sour chicken was like chicken nuggets that were overdone and then drenched with orange sauce. The seafood combination was also bad. The pad Thai was unrecognizable and a solid glop of noodles at the bottom of the takeout container. Overall not impressed

Food is great, and it's ready pretty quick. Would recommend to place the order online though.
