"DELICIOUS!!! I had their Carne en su jugo and it was deliciously Good and add some fresh tortillas. I was satisfied with my meal and service. I recommend Tio Luis"
"Came here for a yummy Mexican dinner and this place had lots of variety to try and was a fun ambiance! If you are looking for tacos this is a great spot! We came with a group of 7 for and ended up ordering:* queso with chorizo - these was cheesy goodness and the saltiness of the meat complimented the dish perfectly. This also came with tortillas which was awesome!* queso with mushrooms - this felt lighter than the chorizo order but I really loved this also. The queso was on point and delicious!* Al pastor taco - this was a bit on the oily side but the meat was flavorful and well seasoned* crispy shrimp taco - this was very yummy and I loved how the shrimp was well fried and the batter was not too thick!I also tried my friends crispy fish taco which was yummy, and the salsas were delicious also! Overall an awesome experience with great service!"

Visit Restaurant Page"My lovely wife and I were looking for a relatively quick dinner before seeing a weeknight show at a nearby Lincoln Avenue venue. We chose Takito Street, and boy were we pleased with our dining experience here. We were surprised to hear from our kind server that we made it here in time for Happy Hour (HH takes place here Tuesdays through Saturdays 4-6PM). The margaritas are half price during HH, so I went with the tamarindo ginger and my love was impressed with the cucumber margarita. The tacos served here are tiny but tasty. No complaints from us about the flavors of the cochinita pibil or the "lite" shrimp tacos. Don't forget to check out the interiors and exteriors for some fun photo opportunities."
"Phenomenal quesabirria tacos and al pastor tacos! I love the 3 salsas that come with the tacos. The quesa birria tacos come with consome (au jus) for dipping. They were super meaty and flavorful. Al Pastor tacos come with lettuce, tomato and onion, but sour cream and cheese are an extra charge. This is located in Little Joe's and the bartender can take your order. The tacos took about 15 minutes to come out. There is plenty of street parking available on Taylor St. If you come between 4-6pm tues-fri you can get a happy hour special from Little Joe's while you wait. They have $4 beers and $4 smirnoff cocktails."
"I never thought a taco spot inside of a gas station plaza would slap this hard. I definitely will come back! I loved the decor and vibe inside even though it's a small space. You can tell this place is family oriented. My food came out super fast - like less than 5 min! For the chips n salsa, you get your own personal tray and individual mini bottles of sauces which I liked because you don't have to share with anyone. I also got an horchata that was refreshing. My asada burrito was delicious and I have no complaints about it. You can really observe & taste the quality of their food! Can't wait to come back!"
"Great for the summer. Sit down by the river walk and enjoy margarita pitcher with some tacos and some chips & dips. Friendly service. Live DJ. Friendly crowd. Strongly recommend."
"BRUV. They. Killed. It. Nailed it. 5 stars across the board. The hype is real: I repeat, the hype is real with this one. Meat: quality. Customer service- mind blown. They called me to double check info and offered different options. Whhhhatt. I was astonished before the food even arrived. Spicy taco offers a spicy taco. It's not the spiciest, but it's tasty. I knew it was real when they offered a breaded steak milenesa torta. (It's actually been extremely hard to find as of late.) Delicious. Rice and beans were very on point ! Highly recommend. Also, affordable. My new favorite go-to Mexican joint in Jeff Park!"
"When I'm in the area I like this place for their frozen lemonade- mango - strawberry it's so good! Everything I've tried out of here is really really good the nachos/ shrimp and them grapes. I kinda remember the banana pudding differently a while ago, because there were no bananas in it n like 4 nilla cookies lack luster."
"We went to Cariño tonight for their late-night taco omakase and I couldn't recommend it more. The restaurant itself only seats 20, but the omakase is 6. The taco tasting was tons of fun and felt really unique and personal. They started us with a beautiful oyster before moving into the rest of the courses which included numerous tacos along with a few other goodies. The service was perfect and the vibes were immaculate. We can't wait to come back."
"We had a lovely evening here on Saturday night. It was only their second day in business but service was tight and the food was excellent. We sat at the chefs counter and it was fun to watch the food being prepped. We enjoyed the oysters, both the classic and the ones with a passionfruit granita, the tuna tostada was great and the soft shelled crab tacos were awesome. The cocktails were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed a nice bottle of cava. Highly recommended."
"Don't listen to the G reviews this place is great. Super great authentic food and reasonable prices. And the guac!! Almost as good as mine!!Got the chicken fajita and short rib tacos and an empanada. If you want a burger for kids there's a hala place next door.Super friendly!!"
"I've heard so many great things about this spot! We were headed out of Chicago, but I didn't want to leave without trying it, so we got takeout for the car ride. It was the right move. I got the bulgogi bento box and a shrimp taco... How can you not when you see that there's 700+ Yelp reviews alone that mention it?! The taco was incredible and I'd definitely order it again. It was a lightly breaded, juicy shrimp that had an incredible sauce (a sweet chili - not spicy) and delicious slaw. The bento box was great too and was presented super well. The sauce on the white rice and ginger dressing for the side salad were amazing. Highly recommend! It's located in a great neighborhood by Lincoln Park too, so is a nice area to walk around if you're looking to dine in."

I can't put into words how I love this place. The tacos, burritos are delicious. Food is fresh and mouthwatering. I can't get enough of the margaritas. I came here alone last year, the I brought my cousin, the my bestie and her husband, then my friend was in town from London. I keep bringing people. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend, if you go, contact me, I wanna enjoy with you.

One evening after celebrating a Cubs night game walk off win, I was in dire need of late evening drunk food. Fortunately on the way home, and walking distance from my place, I entered Big Star Mariscos with 30 minutes to spare before closing. Asking the bartender what I should order with limited time remaining, he instructed me to order this savory, cheesy goodness since it was only on special for who knows how much longer. Goodness do I hope they remain on the menu forever! I was surprised that at a Mariscos(seafood) taco joint I'd be eating lamb, but after tasting these amazing tacos, I can't imagine how good the tacos are that come from the sea! The lamb meat was already full of flavor before dipping each bite of each taco into the wonderful consumme. The tortillas soaked up the broth so well and each cheesy, meaty bite was heaven in my mouth. The only two things I can complain about is that I wish there were more than two tacos per order because they were so damn good and that I wish the kitchen/restaurant was open later so that I could have these tacos really late night! If you're ever in need of delicious tacos in West Town, check out Big Star Mariscos!

My friend and I stopped by Takito Street around brunch time and I thought this was a great, casual eatery. We sat outside - they had a small patio space with a few tables - and the service was really fast.I got the pineapple agua fresca which was nice and refreshing on a hot day. I also ordered the al pastor tacos which were very well seasoned and the meat was tender. Overall, a solid taco option in Lincoln Park!

Was so excited to finally try this place out! This is some of the best staff! Everyone is so helpful and sweet! Service was 10/10 soooo fast. Food was out in 5 minutes. I got the chips and salsa and guac. Chips are crispy, guac is creamy and salsa was hot! Just how I like it! I also had the horchata, this was delicious, I would come back just for this! I had the quesobirria and the steak taco! The quesobirria is sooooo full of flavor. Portion sizes are perfect. I cant wait to come back here and try a burrito!

Yes! This new spot is owned by some of the cooks from a unassuming Mexican place on Elston in Irving Park called Taco Max... but that place has some awesome al pastor and is one of my favorites, so I'm definitely down for a Logan Square cousin with some new tricks. The new restaurant is in the old Dante's location on Milwaukee Ave and when I visited the old exterior sign wasn't even down yet, but they were already busy--taking constant orders.I got takeout and like a lot of casual Mexican spots, I think they will do a lot this, but there is decent interior seating here that feels casual but not fast food - there's some color and art and I'd be happy to eat in here. There are two little sidewalk patio tables as well.Order was ready on time when I arrived.Al Pastor is flavorful and had multiple chunks of pineapple. I had the nachos which included tons of melted real cheese and generous scoops of guacamole. I also ordered the namesake signature "spicy taco"--which seems to be a steak taco with melted cheese between the taco shell layers. The steak has a great grill taste, and the taco was generous size (not skimpy like some places), but I would have loved the taco to actually be "spicy" like the name implies - for me it was pretty mild. The habanero sauce though, was for real hot and had a sweetness to it while it smacked you.I will say, I found myself comparing the red and green sauces to Taco Max, and I miss the charred sauce and the brighter orange habanero which seems perfected up there.Very happy with my order and I'll be back. Solid new local Mexican.

Good Prices, good food! What more can you say? We'll be back for more! By the way, get the Fried Chicken on Sunday!
Visit Restaurant Page"I ordered the taco plate and tried 3 different tacos. I have the names of each on the photo posted. The jack fruit was horrible to me. Way too spicy for my liking. Didn't like the flavor at all. The pastor as just okay. BUT, the asada taco was hands down the best I've ever had. I never would've known it wasn't real carne asada. Seasoned to perfection and the flavor was truly Mexican asada. Beans and rice were very good! I also ordered the chips and salsa. Chips were cold and salsa was watery. I prefer warm chips and thicker salsa. Service was good but not great. Prices are reasonable so it was easy to over look the avg service. I'd go back if I lived in Chicago but I'd order something different."
"Friendly service, delicious food. Order via ToastTab for delivery. Excellent, every time."
"Taco Maya is getting a rare five-star review. The tacos were excellent and the chips and salsa far exceeded expectations. Service was fast and friendly, but the ordering process was a bit more confusing than necessary. Those dining in order on a smartphone app, but ordering at the counter would be faster and easier.I do like that you pay on the smartphone app, but I'm not impressed with having to tip before I receive my food or service. In a sense this could be considered tipping extortion, because if you don't tip, what are they going to do to your food?"
"Our first time eating here. Service was great and very attentive. Very cool vibe. My wife and I both got the Quesabirria tacos. Really solid tacos. Not quite up to my gold standard, Taclotan, but the best in this area hands down. Will definitely be back"
"We went here for our last meal in Glenview before we flew home. Incidentally I grew up in this town which was awesome to see how much things have changedover the years. Joes Mom moved into this incredible place that is definitely "country club" living, I'll get to that review next. This place is over in Northbrook very close to where we were staying, it was incredible. The decor, the food, the staff was all top notch! Joe ordered the clam chowder and it was delicious. I always love the club so I got the BLT. It was excellent, the bacon was cooked perfectly and theFrench fries were cooked all the way through! Love that! A undercooked fry is just not worth it to me, I'll pass or send it back. Joe ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and he just loved it. Joes Mom got the hamburger with Swiss and sweet potato fries, I'm pleased to say both types of French fries were excellent! We arrived there at 11 when they opened and it was very crowded. Myra our server was just excellent and very attentive. The busboy was always near to clear away the dishes, get rid of the evidence I always say :) I will definitely return to this amazing place! Loved it!"
"TTS Tacos and Tequilas: A Gem in Chicago's Culinary CrownFrom the moment I stepped into TTS Tacos and Tequilas, I was greeted by an atmosphere of warmth that only a truly friendly staff could provide. As someone relatively new to Mexican cuisine, with only Taco Bell as a reference, I was unsure about navigating the menu. However, the team was incredibly accommodating, crafting a dish tailored to my preferences with ease.I indulged in a steak taco cradled in a soft corn tortilla--and it was nothing short of excellent. The flavors were authentic and rich, a delightful surprise to my palate. Encouraged by this, I ventured further and sampled a ground beef taco on a flour tortilla. It was equally impressive, maintaining the high standard set by the first.Mindful of my mild taste preference, I requested no cilantro or guacamole. The staff obliged without hesitation, ensuring my tacos were perfectly suited to my delicate tongue. The server, Juri, was the epitome of hospitality--lovely and most accommodating. Indeed, all the staff were outstanding, contributing to a dining experience that felt both personal and genuine.Visiting in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday, I found the restaurant to be spotless and serenely quiet. The decor was thoughtfully curated, featuring wood plank tables and Mexican-themed adornments that transported me to a place of cultural richness and vibrancy. While I can't speak to the ambience when the restaurant is bustling, the tranquil daytime environment spoke volumes of the care put into maintaining the space. TTS Tacos and Tequilas is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Mexico right in the heart of Chicago. Whether you're a connoisseur or a newcomer to Mexican cuisine, this charming spot is sure to leave a lasting impression."
"Ahh! This used to be Provare, remember that? Provare moved a block west. This is from the folks that's behind Rooster which is a few blocks west. I had the Pork Slider. Everything was very good.P.S. Starting January, Tues. & Wed. 3pm-9pm, Thu. 3pm-10pm, Fri. & Sat. 3pm-11:30pm."
"This is such a nice restaurant! The staff were all very friendly, the ambiance and decor were nice, and the food was really good. Tortilla chips came complementary with three salsas. I got the carne asada and al pastor tacos, and my friends tried the carnitas tacos, all of which were really good. The al pastor was my favorite, it came with fresh pineapple slices and the meat was super flavorful. We also got a side of cebollitas to share, which were very yummy of course. Everything was really good, I would go back if I'm in the area!"
"Coming from someone who really doesn't put tacos at the top half of her go-to cuisines list: I'm a fan! Picked up a couple combo orders of the birria along with some fries because I was in the area and my husband is a big tacos fan. I have to say- I'm converted. Crispy, yet chewy outer shell, perfectly seasoned, so oily (in a this-is-probably-not-healthy-but-I-dont-care way), it was perfection. And the fries were A+ of course! Would love to try out other proteins next time, and get my hands on more of those tots."
"This place just opened near me, it's a quick way to grab a meal any time of the day. Everything I've had here so far has been terrific and the portion size to price is an insanely good deal. Also, they have horchata!"
"First time here as my coworker suggested this bar after the Bears game to continue having a few more drinks and watch other Sunday football games. The place was packed, and we were told they were in a transition between people closing out once the Bears game was over and other people coming *from* the game. Everyone we encountered from the host and hostesses to our server were actually really friendly and took great care of us. They have a million TVs in here so you'll never an issue watching any game here. The only reason I took a star off is because our food was very meh! The chips and queso dip didn't do much for me, and the wings themselves were not that great. They weren't awful, and did the job... but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back and eat them again. Maybe other food is actually good here though! Would definitely come back to try other food while drinking here!"
"I LOVE THIS GUY!!! NEVER FAILS ME!!! Been living in Pilsen 1 year and a half. Was already a fan before I even moved here.Nooooow he's my buddy. He definitely has his customers ON LOCK.For good reason. This is not a fancy place. He is a street vendor. But the tacos are GOOD and he ALWAYS fills them with plenty of meat.I'd say 2 of his tacos are enough for a normal adult. At least it is for me.Im moving next week so I wont be seeing him as often. But I PROMISE I'll be back!!!!! DEFINITELY!!!"
"There's something about the quesabirria that keeps us coming back. It's best when you have it there. Behold the golden quesabirria sits before me... the server ask to split it and fold it as it's the suggested way to eat.. Yup, makes more sense. Thank you, now let me have my moment of goodness... People, It's cheesy, crunchy, chewy, yummy, so flavorful, dipped in the consome... aaahhhh my heart is filled. I can drink the consome as is, so so good.More please!"
"Stopped in after coming from a museum as we in the mood for some tacos. We were seated pretty quickly upon walking in and the server explained how to order food. Im not a fan of QR style ordering but our food came out super quick and was still hot. I got the Taco Bundle with the crispy fish and shrimp tacos with a side of rice and beans. Also I ordered a mango margarita to drink. Everything was really good and I really enjoyed my meal! This restaurant has all the right vibes and seems like a good spot for a big group. Would love to come back!"
"I enjoyed my time here! We went to Wrigley Field right next door and were hungry afterwards and we got tons of tacos. Everything was good! Service was also super attentive and friendly. This place is huge since after games it must get super crowded. Great for groups and decent amount of stuff on the menu. My favourite tacos in the bunch were the braised beef tacos and the pork belly tacos (these were so juicy and flavourful!). I didn't get to try the fritos tacos but they did look super interesting (they come in the fritos bag)."
"Going to dinner at Urban Vegan, we noticed this place next door that has tacos and made a note to come back later. It was a few days later we got back here to check it out. Disco Taco is a Mexican restaurant of course. Kind of a tiny place with only a few tables inside. This feels like a taco truck that's actually a restaurant. Best to come here at lunch. It's a little less busy at this time, and gets busier later on. This is important, because if you want to eat inside, there's limited space. Has only a few tables, so most people order carryout. We ate in to get the full experience, and a benefit is dining in gets you complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. Has a nice cozy feel like a bodega. It sadly doesn't have alcohol, so no margaritas. Has Mexican pop, including Jarritos. Tacos are about $3 each, which is a pretty okay price. We got some of the Vegetarian Tacos. Good stuff, full of flavor. These are small, so most people need to get a few for a meal. Good place to get authentic Mexican tacos and food. It's better than it looks. The prices are cheap for some authentic tacos."
"Before I say/write anything else, let me preface this review by saying that the food here is decidedly and unabashedly "fusion." If you have a problem with that, probably shouldn't be too surprised when you come here and are shocked by what you're eating.Anyways, saw that this place opened up today and thought I'd give it a try. The space itself is pretty small - there are only 6 spaces to eat in, so the focus seems to be more about take-out. They're still figuring some stuff out with the process but no real red flags and service was good/prompt. Menu-wise, it's pretty much split between steaks to take home and cook, and the tacos. Canned sodas are there but the selection is currently limited to LaCroix and Coke. I ate the following, ordered by enjoyment (least to greatest):- Fully Loaded Crushed Hamburger: To me, this tasted a bit like cheesy rice with some ground beef sprinkled in. It wasn't bad, but the sauce to meat ratio seemed a bit off, and it was a tad messy to eat.- Japanese Curry Chicken: This tasted like the Japanese curry you could make from one of those boxes at the grocery store, which sounds like a bad thing but I swear isn't at all. There was a bit of mayo topped, which tasted a bit interesting when mixed with the curry. I'm still a bit undecided on how I feel about mixing those, but outside of that it was pretty decent. - Panko Pork Tonkatsu: Pretty good. The tonkatsu felt pretty crispy, and there was enough sauce to give it some extra flavor.- California Kani Salad: Yea, I wouldn't mind ordering just 3-4 of these or maybe a bowl next time. The mango and crab salad was really good, and there was a generous portion of roe mixed in between. If I had to make one quibble about it, it's that it could have done without as much soy-yuzu sauce, as it kind of drenched the rice and made that more salty than the crab salad itself. This one's a winner in my book.Overall, they're still getting ironing out the kinks, so there's nothing that's glaring that I would really say. The experience and service was good, and the space, while small, feels pretty welcoming. And the food? For 4 bucks a taco (or 3 for 10), if you view them as flour tortilla vehicles to get just the right/snack amount of something you want to eat but don't want a whole entree of, this is pretty good. Solid start, would come again for a taco or two if I'm ever around the area again."
"I loved everything about Bartaco. Our relationship started when I stopped by a couple weeks ago to just get one taco to try and they didn't charge me. How nice is that. Today my sister and I had lunch there. I had the oyster, fish, steak and pork belly. Delicious and they are nice tacos. It's hard to find tacos that don't have too much stuff on them. Bartaco's tacos are a simple but delicious. Everyone who works there is nice and they look happy to be there. Ana's service was flawless. To wrap it up - whoever designed this space (franchise) was very clever. To order you indicate what you want on a paper menu, if you need the server there's a card you place at the top of the holder. The holder has a variety of sauces. There is a container on the table with napkins and chopsticks along with a pitcher of water. They have thought about everything I might need so I enjoy my visit. I will definitely be going there again. I hope you'll try it."
"My friend and I walked by this place and the outdoor patio caught our eye. We decided to have dinner here and sit outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. We ordered some arepas, one with pork, brisket, and chicken. My favorite was the brisket which was recommended. The one I would not recommend was the pork as it wasn't as tender as the chicken and brisket. The chicken and brisket are the most popular arepas to order. This place is great for food and drinks as you can get some good margs here as well. The staff was very patient with us with what we should get. I would love to come here again to try it other items on their menu as well."
"The tortilla soup was amazing and they need to put it back on the menu! Probs the best I had in my life and I liked that it had giant corn kernels in it (Inka brand?). Lively environment and giant heated covered patio outside"
"I came to the old plank and They delivered this time The waitress, the lady that help her, were super professional. The food and drinks were very good.I didn't informed the managers or owners.I don't like to get free stuffBecause, in my eyes, that make the reviews not so honest. I live in the neighborhood And I'm always eating in the restaurants around here. I believe if you spend $100-1000You should get good food and a service! That's what we get this time!"
"WOW!!!! This place was everything we needed it to be!!!! Had heard so much of this place and they didn't disappoint!!! Just FANTASTIC!! THE FLAVORS was so explosive!!! From appetizers to entree to cucumber lemonade drink!!! The Rolls were dynamite and followed through with some Ribeye!!! The music and ambiance was on point!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!"
