Raul and his family have always taken care of us here.We had take out for dinner last night and I loved it!The spinach was creamy goodness. We also had the Bharta and Ali Gobi. The smoked flavor in the eggplant was delicious. Do your self a favor and eat here if you like Indian food.

Our recent takeout experience from New Delhi Restaurant proved to be an unfortunate dining disaster, marked by a series of culinary missteps that left us utterly disappointed. We ordered the lamb biryani and goat curry, both of which fell far short of even the most basic expectations. The lamb biryani was, quite frankly, a travesty. It amounted to nothing more than yellow rice devoid of any discernible flavor or seasoning. This dish lacked the aromatic complexity and rich taste that are the hallmarks of a proper biryani. The goat curry was an even greater disappointment. It arrived with an unappealing orange hue and an unexpected sweetness that was jarring to the palate. This deviation from traditional savory flavors was bewildering and utterly unacceptable.Adding to the dismay was their naan, which was part of a "buy one, get one free" deal. Unfortunately, the naan had a bitter aftertaste, suggesting an overuse of yeast in the dough or perhaps an attempt to use up stale dough.Overall, New Delhi Restaurant fails to deliver on the promise of authentic and delicious Indian cuisine. The lack of flavor, poor execution, and questionable ingredients made for a disastrous takeout meal that I would not recommend to anyone.

This is a tough review because the food and service are good, but the restaurant is dingy and filthy. They were so nice but I wouldn't return.

Here I am here again. This time a carry out to take back to my office and eat. Samosa were nice and tasty, very tasty and fresh. I ate both of them .. hmm. The chicken tikka is absolutely amazing with medium spice. I'm ready for a nap now Rahul ( manager ) is really nice. He even told me he can drop off the food to my office on busy days since I work literally next door to the restaurant. Thanks so much

For many years this has been called a go to place for Indian food in Schaumburg, partly because it has a pretty good location in a busy area. It certainly is authentic, and you can get it mild or traditionally spicy. New Delhi used to have a buffet, and when it did it was better though. Hard to find these anymore with the sanitation concerns. The food is good but can get pricy for add ons such as naan and rice, which aren't included with the entrees which already are pricy. Came the last time at lunch. It wasn't busy, and the few customers in here were good friends with the owners. The service wouldn't have been a surprise if it had been pretty slow. But they took our orders and the food came out pretty fast. It's about $12 for the cheapest entrees, plus a few more bucks for naan or rice. Seems every Indian restaurant is now charging for these. I got the Chana Masala. This had a pretty good spice to it, and while it wasn't a huge portion it was enough for then. Other entrees can get pretty expensive. These can be $20 or even more. Good variety of classic Indian to choose from. It's closed Mondays. The food is made fresh with options for meat eaters and vegetarians.

This is a quiet and pleasant restaurant for a nice, relaxing Indian meal. I have frequented many Indian restaurants in my area, and love the cuisine. Before Covid, almost all of these restaurants offered a lunch buffet (including New Delhi). They were all great deals for the huge variety of food they offer. Most of those buffets are gone now, so when I want an Indian fix these days I usually just order takeout for dinner time.Despite how much I enjoyed those buffets, I always imagined that the hosts all wished we would try them for a nice sit down formal dinner. They always dress eloquently, and whenever I did choose to go to a restaurant for dinner, it always seemed upscale. Anyway, I had the urge for the spicy meal and I chose New Delhi. I had been to the lunch buffet here several times many years ago, but never for dinner. I went with Chicken Vindaloo with rice and plain naan bread. It was all delicious and just what I wanted. The naan bread, which I'm usually ambivalent about, was especially good. The people are nice, and I got plenty of water, which I like. I'll return here again.

Ordered takeout from here tonight. The owner couldn't have been nicer with our dairy sensitivity. Also all the food was excellent. I'm not a huge spicy food fan but New Delhi was perfect for me. The Naan was delectable and the Tikka masala was addicting. Seriously stop by if you're in the mood for great Indian food.

Food is just AWESOME!!! We went there after a long drive of 10 hours and were looking for authentic Indian food. Glad that we found this and went per reviews from people. We were not disappointed at all. Staff is super welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is clean and had a nice ambiance. We ordered saag paneer and methi malai matar. It was fresh and yummyyyy. Naan was perfect too soft and flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant.
