ProsNice ambiance - friendly staff. Quick service. Jain Thali (which is often a rarity these days outside India)ConsOily. Taste wasn't great. Small, rationed servings especially the dal, causing me to waste half the portion of rice. No refills allowed unless you order extras - somewhat ridiculous for the full thali I ordered. Typically a thali invokes feelings of fullness and multiple servings which is definitely not the caseMay not go there again.

I ordered punjabi special thali, it has 4 sabji, dal rice, 3 parathas, one sweet, papad and one farsan. The portion is good and you will be full once finishing all of these. Now talking about the food taste, I only like 2 sabji out of 4. The paneer sabji was very bad like I couldn't even say it was a paneer sabji, the chole was also below average, there were no flavours. But i really like the veggie jalfrazi kind of sabji and koya kaju. The service could be better, and the ambiance is nice they have tried to make it feel more indian themed based interiors. Overall it was a satisfying meal, but I won't specially make a run to go have food there. It didn't match the hype.

For a thali restaurant, I was very unpleased with the lackluster service. True thali service is meant to be folks circling with the food. The staff here touches base infrequently and asks what you want, communicate it over walkie-talkies and then take several minutes to come back. Food was not tasty and there wasn't enough salt in the food.I understand the concept was meant to be like Kathiyawadi Kitchen NJ, but this restaurant has a long way to go.

This pretty new restaurant in Schaumburg is one of the very few ones that serve traditional Gujarati and Kathiawadi unlimited Thalis - meaning all you can eat meals served to you right at the table. (Indian Thali refers to a large steel round plate with several small bowls for curries and other food items). When we went, they were still pretty new and had been operating for about a week. Additionally, they were only serving Thalis and not the full menu. The ambiance is very pretty with traditional Gujarati style decor. The restaurant showcases traditional Indian style hospitality with servers coming in and serving various dishes. You can take in as many servings as you like, and you'll be pretty full by the time to leave! To start off, we had Indian buttermilk - pretty soothing. Then came appetizers - patra and papad along with chutneys and salad. Next came the main course consisting of several vegetable curries - dal dhokli, sev tamatar sabzi, batata rassa, undhiyu (super delicious!), bharta, dal and Kadhi. There were also roti and Bajri Rotla for Indian breads. The meal ended with Kadhi- Khichadi and Dal-rice as well as Halwa for dessert. It was definitely a different taste and unique experience.

The food here is quite good.... I would give 4 stars for the food. The dishes are flavorful and portions are decently sized. The service, however, is really terrible. A lot of menu items are not available, because they "aren't serving them today" so it's pretty hit or miss on what you can even order. They messed up our order and instead of correcting it, just changed the price to reflect what they had served. People walked out of the restaurant because they waited 10+ minutes and were not greeted. They use a mix of plastic / steel dishware, which is both weird and incredibly wasteful. Overall, the food is fine, but they have a lot of issues to iron out before the restaurant is worth going to.

Went here for dinner. The Gujarati and Kathiyawadi thali were excellent. All the curries, the sev Tamarac, baingan bharta, green sabzi, bateta and special shoutout to my favorite, the dhokla curry were excellent. The dhokla as the appetizer was delicious and spongy soft. The kadhi was flavorful and the Rotla and rotis were freshly made and soft. Cannot recommend this place enough for gujarati food lovers- a one of a kind restaurant in Chicagoland and a must- visit!!P.S. they are currently only offering the unlimited thalis during dinner on the weekdays and all day on weekends. They serve a fixed lunch and chaat during lunch time on weekdays.

Great service! Good tasting food. Most of their items in the menu is available only during lunch time. For dinner you get only a super expensive Thali . On an average, the thali will cost $28 including taxes and tips , which is definitely not worth it . I gave three stars for the good customer service they offer . The location is a problem as most customers miss to see the restaurant, which is on a corner inside a small strip mall . Overall, its an OK type of restaurant.

I would say I had ok thali experience at this place. There isn't much variety as they operate out of limited menu. They don't really offer full menu. They charge $25 per person, but the value isn't there. Curries weren't tasty. We only ate rotlo and jaggery for $25 dollars as we didnt enjoy the taste of other thali options they were serving. Money went to waste.
