Choi's Chinese Restaurant

Found a new Chinese Restaurant to add to my go to in Chicago. Clean, good portions, great prices. We will definitely be eating take out from here again.

Ok so I've lived within two blocks of this place since 2005 and it looks like I wrote my original review of this place over 15 years ago. I've always done pick up here and I've come to appreciate the food over the years, its pretty good and prices have not gone insane even during covid lockdowns like some other places. They sort of have given up on inside dining, though you can if you need to, this place is really pretty good for chinese take out. Its fairly quick and the packaging is good. I can vouch for the General's chicken (its not overly saucy and its not that bright orange color, its distinct from sweet and sour chicken) especially.

Not good at all order the rice and lo mein and egg fu young and beef and mushrooms All had a rancid taste or old oil the beef and mushrooms has the same taste along with an aluminum flavor after ordering for a family of 4 no.one ate very un happy

Their prices are hella cheap. Eggrolls were $1, Small sizes of their various dishes are $4.95, an order of crab Rangoon is $3.95. That's all crazy cheap! But...nothing is what I would call delicious. Their Crab Rangoon was actually quite tasty. Full of creamy goodness in each piece. This was the only item I would get again if I had to.Everything else was very meh and just kind of blended together. We had a number of leftovers but I'm honestly not too sure I'm going to touch them. They more likely than not will be going straight into the basura. Lo siento. I tried the orange chicken, the sesame chicken and the pepper beef - none of which had much flavor and the tastes I did get from each dish simply was not good. I wouldn't get any of those main dishes again. The eggroll didn't taste great either and there was a lot of dough to it, not much on the inside. Disappointed in Choi's Chinese and wouldn't order from here again.

The only good thing about this place is that it's the closest Chinese to me. The food isn't good. My lo mein smelled like piss, and my "Mongolian beef" was a basket filled with onions, green peppers and 6 very thin and small beef medallions. I've given this restaurant a few opportunities, but I think I'm officially done.

I'm pretty shocked. Staff refused to let me in the door to order takeout with my service animal. He's a real, trained service dog. As a person with a severe disability, I have rights under the Americans with Disability Act which this store refused to honor -- and rather rudely. There was one young man who offered to take my order down outside as a compromise, which is still an illegal denial of service and entry but better than nothing -- but the owner categorically refused to even let him do that. He was also extremely rude and wouldn't even let me speak.

If you're on the hunt for Chinese takeout, look no further. Choi's is consistently delicious and quick. I have tried multiple items from the menu and never been let down.

An affordable take out only kind of place, with big portions. Lunch specials from 11-3, usually they give you enough for two meals. The smoothies are pretty good as well.

This restaurant is exactly what I want out of affordable Chinese. The fried rice is delicious and the food is always piping hot when I pick it up!

Favorite Chinese restaurant in LS. Great prices, they're open late and the food is delicious!
