I didn't sit down to eat here. I ordered from here. Although I've known about this place for a while -- actually, for decades -- I've ordered only a few times. This was one of thise times.The food was quite good. It tasted quite fresh, and I finished my order up quickly.Picking up the order was a breeze. Since it was prepaid, I just went to the counter, they pointed out my bag, and I was on my way. Easy peasy!The people working there had a very positive attitude and demeanor, which does make a difference.The restaurant itself is small, but I bet would make a very nice, cosy, intimate dinner for someone that wants food to be fresh from the wok.

I've eaten here twice recently and was impressed both times! I'm definitely adding this into my Chinese food rotation. The lunch specials are a steal at around $10 each and are a huge portion. My favorites are the mongolian beef, vegetable egg foo young, garlic chicken, egg roll, and hot and sour soup. Everything is packed with lots of flavor and delicious.

For all the many years we've lived pretty close to Binhai we've never ordered from there until last night. So glad we did. The food was as good or better than the usual Chinese takeout places we normally go to in the north suburbs. Prices and portions were also very good. We had egg rolls, Mongolian Beef, Seafood special double fried noodles and chicken fried rice. All was good. Also received plenty of sweet/sour, hot mustard and soy sauce without asking for it, as well as fortune cookies. We will be mostly ordering from here from now on.

The fried rice is okay, but the chicken in it was rubbery. The sesame chicken was awful, the pieces were so chewy and lumpy, just beyond poor quality. The saving point was the steamed dumplings. However, they weren't good enough to warrant another visit. I've eaten here before and always been at least somewhat satisfied. Tonight was the game changer though, I'll never go back.

I grew up in San Francisco and have been looking for good Chinese ever since I moved to Illinois. Even though it is 30+ minutes from my house, this may be it. I had a vet appointment in Bannockburn this morning and stopped here on the way home. I ordered two lunch specials: Mongolian beef with pork fried rice and hot and sour soup and noodle soup with egg roll, plus the Bo Bo appetizer platter. All for $38!We knew there would be some degradation due to the 30 minute drive home, but everything was very good and the portion size to price is great! We've eaten ourselves stuffed and still have so many leftovers for dinner tonight and probably lunch tomorrow. So far, the BBQ pork rib has been the winner, with the noodle soup and the fried rice close second. The Mongolian beef was probably the least liked (it was a bit sweet, but was still very good. The beef appears to be good quality). I'm not a huge egg roll fan, but I'm told this one was very good.We haven't tried the hot and sour soup or most of the Bo Bo platter yet, but if what we've tried is any indication, we expect it will be good. The lady at the front desk was also very nice. I sat in the car with my cat while the order was being made and she waved to get my attention when it was ready. I plan to be back very soon, even with the long drive.

Been going here since I was a child. 8 treasures chicken is really good, so is the egg foo young. Lots of good things on the menu! Inside isn't too big, typical Chinese restaurant setting I guess. We order to go from here usually but definitely eat inside once in a while.

My family highly recommends Bin Hai. Or favorites are the Tofu dishes and fried rice. Consistent and very tasty Chinese food. Fast and happy service by the owner. We've been going there for many years. It's grandma's favorite. We used to eat in, but they've been carry out or delivery since the 2020 pandemic.

Hardest working woman in Northbrook! She always greets you with "hello my friend" and the food is awesome. Love this Mongolian beef, chicken egg foo young, and egg rolls. Been going here for years and best I can find in the northern suburbs.

Egg rolls are not to my liking, they seriously need peanut butter. The spare ribs and crab rangoon are so-so. no ne really cared for the mongolian beef or the beef chop suey. I wanted to order pineapple chicken but they said they have no pineapple. How is that possible? Going back to Jade Cafe in HP. Much, much better food all around.
