Out of all of the delicious food options available at the farmer's market, Chicago Style Gyro is a must try!! There are plentiful options and they are ALL delicious, especially the gyros and the falafels! The workers are efficient and friendly. The entire booth is immaculately clean!Pro tip: let them make your food the way it's meant to be (no substitutions), you won't regret it!

First guy (older guy) helping us was super nice but then a younger guy took over and you could tell he didn't want to be there and his effort was as minimal as it gets.We enjoyed our food, the meat was not too salty and had good flavor. They pretty much give you all the goods so you don't have to make you sacrifice. We enjoyed the combination of everything on our dish and it was a decent portion for the price. I still don't know what about it was Chicago style but we enjoyed our food lol

This stall was located right at the entrance to the Market House of the Nashville Farmer Market, and from looking at the other stalls around the food court, this was the busiest. The line went by pretty quickly, and everything looked delicious, so I decided to order from here. I got the combo plate with the lamb, beef, and chicken. This was quite a good amount enough to be shared with 2 people for a good price. As for the food itself, a lot of it lacked some extra flavor. It felt like it was missing a kick. The lamb and beef were flavorful, but the chicken and rice were not. Still a decent option out of all the food court.

I'm a born & raised Chicagoan who first fell in love with gyros at the age of 10 long before they were as popular as they are today. I ate them weekly (if not daily) all throughout my teens and early 20's. I can say factually that the only sandwiches I've eaten more that a gyro are cheeseburgers and PB&J's.I am fully convinced the gyro meat making process is different today than when I fell in love with them back in the 80's. I believe it has always been a lamb/beef combination, but it seems to me the ratio of lamb was greater back then than it is today. I'm truly starting to believe there may be no lamb at all in gyro meat anymore! Lamb not only makes it more tender, but also more flavorful. I could be wrong, but my taste buds have all but assured me something is different in the gyros meat making process, and not for the better. That being said, I rarely find gyro that I love anymore. Most seem very generic, but when I do, it is likely because of the meat being sliced in thick long strands! IMHO, the thinner the slice, the less flavor it has... which oddly is completely opposite when it comes to my love of deli meats like ham, chicken, turkey, salami and roast beef. The gyro plate found here @ Chicago Style Gyro is unlike any restaurant I've ever encountered in Chicago or ANYWHERE ELSE for that matter. The gyro meat is thinly sliced into chips, placed on a bed of rice, smothered in a tzatziki sauce I didn't really care for and served with pita quarters that didn't look fully cooked. While it looked like a lot of meat, it's really wasn't. To top that off they offer a salad that I've never heard of known as Tabouli. Absolutely not a fan, but maybe it gets better the more you try it. *shoulder shrug* Even my wife who loves all things vegetable didn't like it.SERVICE was okay. Felt like a typical cafeteria line and seemed a tad rushed when asking questions. FINAL THOUGHTSI've been alive over half a century, almost half of that was lived in Chicago and I've never had a gyro plate like this ever! The flavor of the gyro meat was lost in its thinness, otherwise I might have actually enjoyed it. Oh how I long for that first gyro I had on Navy Pier all those years ago! It was made to absolute perfection, thus ruining anything less.2023 / 33

Not good. I don't know what "Chicago style" is supposed to entail but the chicken, beef, rice, salad, and pita bread was about cafeteria grade. I did see a shawarma rotisserie with some meat on it in the back. Nevertheless my chicken and beef came out of a cafeteria steam table. Any flavor the meat did have was lost to the underworld of the steam table. The salad did not taste fresh, and the pita bread was microwaved.

Among the multitude of food choices in the Market House at the Nashville Farmers Market, this was the place Jamie W. and I chose for our lunch. Believe you me, there was a United Nations of cuisines represented, and the local barbecue had the inside track before calmer appetites prevailed. We figured Mediterranean would be the safer option, so I settled on the $8.59 Chicken Gyros Salad (photo: http://bit.ly/2KCvlcr). It was one of the rare times I actually felt I had too much poultry on my plate, but it was pretty succulent considering it was lukewarm. The salad underneath was nothing special, and the taboulleh was rather bland. Worst of all, the pita wedges were cold. Oh well, they can't all be winners here.FOOD - 3 stars...plenty of the good cluck but the rest needed workAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...part of a busy food hallSERVICE - 3.5 stars...they move fast and expect you to do the sameTOTAL - 3 stars...gyros can't all be heroes

Their food is some of the best we have had. My daughter and I are rather pick eaters. We normally have pick up food from several different restaurants. This restaurant is the exception to the rules. Makes things easier.

The meal my wife and I got here knocked our socks off. Good portions, fairly healthy, affordable price and most importantly- delicious. The people working were super friendly and accommodating, also. Mos Def worth it!
