Chicago Hamburger

This place is legit! You can tell they have been here for a long long time, and they know what they're doing. So friendly and efficient!! The burger was cooked perfectly. The toppings were fresh; tasty pickles, thick juicy tomato, just the right amount of lettuce, and grilled onions. I got it almost the way it comes. I removed the relish and added pickles. The fries were thick cut, hot and fresh, and wonderful. The parking lot was almost full, but there was ample seating inside so don't be scared off. Give them a try if you haven't! I'm going back to try a Chicago dog and a milkshake.

I absolutely adore it!Today, I treated myself to a delicious Beef Hot with fries and a refreshing drink.The staff member who took my order exuded a genuine Chicago charm, and the beef brought back memories of Jay's Beef.I am truly grateful to have this gem in our neighborhood.

This was a great & unexpected lunch place to come to with colleagues. It's small but has a great hometown, chill vibe about it. Staff was super nice. You could absolutely tell who the regulars were by how they were greeted. I loved that. I went with the polish dog w/o a bun, kraut, & fries. The kraut is apparently made in house & was fabulous. Isn't wasn't aggressive in flavor or texture. I'm normally not a kraut kind of gal but this was something I am glad I took a chance & tried. I would come back with colleagues for sure. The location isn't super convenient for me but if you're in this area or looking for something new to try, I would definitely encourage anyone to give this local place a try.

Haven't had anything similar after 25 years in Phoenix. I'm from Chicago and have a solid frame of reference. Also appreciated their promise to give away free sliders if Cubs won the World Series. A fellow long suffering Cubs fan and I took our young sons and it was memorable. I'm typing this on my way right now

This place is delicious!! Hubs loves sloppy joes so we decided to stop in on a Thursday for their sloppy Joe's and I had to try their tuna salad sandwich. The customer service was friendly and this spot is just a little hole in the wall with good food. The sloppy joe sliders had tons of meat and the softest slider roll. They were good! The tuna salad was packed with goodies and the sandwich wasn't skimpy. Definitely recommend both. Still need to try their Sandwiches, burgers and Chicago dogs. Will be back again soon!

Such a cute burger and hotdog place! I think the owner is the cups fan, as there are so many cubs news and stuff in the store. Super cute :DOrdered a burger, fries, and coleslaw- they were soooo good. Burger patty was super fresh, bun was fluffy, and fries were so crispy and potato-ey lol And coleslaw!!! I love coleslaw and their coleslaw is super crunchy and creamy. NommmmmAnd people were so friendly, when we ordered one burger for two people - they asked if we wanted them to cut it half, and also asked if we wanted a cup of water. These small things make customers super happy.Can't wait to come back and try their hotdogs!

Good place for Burgers & Dogs! Friend with New York roots checked it out and have passed by this place for years. Had hotdogs with mustard relish and smothered in sour kraut. Served with fries, very enjoyable meal. So after minutes of Google research without AI, concluded that I actually had a New York Dog, in a Chicago Burger joint.I was not kicked out. Lots of choices including different kinds of burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches, wings, salads, and cheese steaks. Busy place, friendly people, I like this kind of place !

OMG! This feels like home! I am from Gary Indiana, but we moved over to Barrington when I was in college! I grew up around Chicago and this place completely reminds me of Home! I had the chili cheeseburger with chopped up onions, french fries, and an orange Fanta and it was delicious! We are now ordering two Polish sausages to go! I love this place I will always come back here!

3/16/24: stopped in this Saturday around 4 o'clock. Unfortunately, the parking lot is not fun. It is small and since one entry is right off Indian School, be careful pulling out because someone may be pulling in. Unfortunately, parking is a big deal for us and if it's bad, we won't return.The menu? It was fairly large but beware, they don't have the descriptions/ingredients listed on their menu at the counter -- at least, I did not see anything of the sort. So you either have to take up the order taker's time asking "what's on that?" or check out the menu ahead of time so you know what to expect. I ordered the Western burger but sans onions & onion rings, and he said "so you want a regular burger?" but he was smiling & laughing as he said it so I didn't feel too stupid. LOL! He was very cool about so I don't think I was the first person he had to explain that to, ha ha.The food? It was good. Nothing stupendous, def nothing that would make us want to brave that dinky parking lot again. The garlic fries were a bit on the greasy side, and we both thought the fried zucchini could have been sliced thicker. My sister ordered a shake and I got the Sunkist float. I didn't taste the float but the float was really maybe two small scoops of ice cream in a large 44 oz cup so it was mostly soda.The staff? Everyone we dealt with was super friendly, so kudos there.The decor? I have never been to Chicago and boy were their walls full of Chicago paraphernalia (obviously! :-) ), so much so that I don't think there were any blank spots. It was cool to see all that stuff. There was some big blow up in the corner to the right of the counter but I forgot to get a picture. I want to know what it was! Overall, if you're in the area and want to support a smaller business, def check them out, if not for the food, at least for the ambiance.
