We had the duroc pork set. it was fine. it's literally all raw, unmarinated pork. side dishes are mostly spicy. i asked for any sweet drinks and the only thing they offered was iced tea?! there's not soda cans in the back?!To summarize, plain pork set, side dishes that were too spicy, no sugary drinks to help.

New galbi house in the suburbs! Super excited to have a high quality Korean bbq restaurant so close to home. Yes the service was great. But what I really want to talk about is the quality of food. From the raw beef appetizer (yukhae) to the galbi ribeye. Just look at that marbling in my photos. Such high quality of beef here. You're definitely paying for quality food here. Everything was seasoned well and absolutely delicious! We also got the seafood pahjun appetizer, the spicy fish dish with radish (galchi jorim) (not pictured), and the cold noodle bowl (nangmyun). I will say although we came here for the bbq I was absolutely blown away by the spicy fish dish (galchi jorim). I wish I got a picture of it. It's a huge portion to share with multiple people. Super flavorful and the fish was just juicy and tender. It was so good. I definitely plan to come back just to order this again. From start to finish the service was amazing. There is a call button at the table that you can press if there's anything you need. A server will be at your table right away. For our party of 6 adults and 2 toddlers, tip was already included in our bill at the end of the meal. The server did mention this when handing us the bill. I appreciated that they let us know. I truly enjoyed every dish we ordered and so glad to have this new restaurant in the suburbs. We'll definitely be back!!

I had dolsot bibimbap and the seafood pancake and they were both really good. I am korean so i would say the taste is pretty authentic. The service was great! Everyone was very friendly and always brought everything I needed. It's very clean inside and a lot of seating is available. I would definitely come back.

Came here during soft openings. I like the fancy looking table setup!Food was ok. For the price, I expect the meat quality to be better, but it's at par with other cheaper places. We were in this room that were blocked off from the main dining room. Perhaps things were not set up all the way yet the first week, the plug kept getting loose from the outlet so our grills would lose heat to grill. And also not all outlet work. One used to work and then when plug got loose, that same outlet somehow also stopped working. Hope they got that all figure out now! Maybe because we were in this room, it was hard to get the servers attention when we needed something or figuring out the outlet situation.

Chicago lacks in the kbbq scene, so I'm glad there's a new contender in the market! This restaurant space is huge though, but our experience assured me that they may be able to fill it. It's a clean, nicely lit open space with modern grills and decor. The service was a bit slow because of how busy it was this Saturday night, but the servers were very nice about refilling our banchan.We ordered the bulgogi hotpot, marinated galbi, and fresh galbi. This was more than enough food for three, and I loved all the fresh side dishes. We all agreed the marinated galbi was the best - fresh and great quality without being too overpowering on the flavor. I would skip the bulgogi next time (presentation was much better than the taste).Definitely excited about this new Korean establishment and will be coming back to try more meats and dishes!

I came here for the first time on recommendations of friends and I was not disappointed!!!We came as a group of 7 and was seated promptly for lunch.Very clean and spacious.We ordered our food and came out promptly, possibly since we were the first customers!!The food was delicious and a lot of side dishes to choose from. Our waitress made sure our cups were filled and replaced empty side dishes. Definitely will be back!

Chronically understaffed. Wait time for lunch 30 minutes. Dinner not much different. Slow and unprofessional service. I.e., you have to ask for lettuce (staple with galbie) when you order galbi which is about 10 ozs of beef short ribs costing 40 per serving. When you do ask, the waitress will act indifferent and annoyed.Food-for the prices they charge, they give the most basic set of banchan that cost them the least to make and keep fresh. Price-for what you get in terms of food or service, way over priced. Overall, this is a restaurant that believes in maximum profit by overcharging and minimum cost by understaffing and skimping on food. A great place for those who have time and money to burn on substandard service and food.

I hardly ever leave reviews for Korean restaurants because they are just so so... but I do want to leave a favorable one for this place. Service was 4.5/5, food was 4/5, meat was 4/5, steamed egg was burnt so 2.5/5, banchan variety was 4/5. Korean restaurants still need to offer more banchan but better than the rest so I give 4/5. Prices are a bit more than other Korean restaurants in Glenview, Chicago, Northbrook and surrounding suburbs but worth paying a little extra due to cleanliness, service response time and the plating and flavor was good. Thanks for opening K BBQ in the north suburbs.
