Definitely catered to the crowd that's ok with bland food. It needed a little more seasoning. The wait staff was great but the food needed more flavor. We had a variety of appetizers and pastas. Tried the chicken Marsala pasta and it was meh. Everyone in the reviews thought it was great but it was meh to me. I've had better. I've cooked better. I didn't really taste the Marsala cooking wine in the sauce. Generally there's a hint of it.

Some People need to offer a little more grace. I'm glad I didn't look at reviews prior to coming in otherwise I wouldn't have gave this place a chance. My partner and I were just passing by and it was available so we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did as we enjoyed our late lunch/Early Dinner/ Our server was kind, He didn't speak the greatest English but that's not a problem to me, for some I'm seeing that's an issue as I saw some reviews stating service was "awkward" not sure why it's awkward for someone to have a language barrier when the very least he can take your order. Overall I gave this place a 5stars because it needs a little bit more grace. Also in response to someone complaint about the outside tables--yes they're wobbly but what are you expecting for patio tables? I had no issue with the wobbly table sitting outside and eating my food. My food came promptly ,it was good, and my server was kind. That's what I expect anywhere else unless I'm fine dining I guess maybe I expect more Show some grace... your bad reviews can effect a small business and their workersThis place is worth a try

We ate here on a sunny day. The location was awesome, but the food and cocktails were barely average. I ordered the Pizza Emiliana, which was supposed to have arugula on top. Instead, the chef dumped general salad greens (I think it was the spring mix ftom Safeway) The crust left a lot to be desired - very dry. Service was good, but we won't be back.

The restaurant just started doing breakfast on 6/1. A few kinks to iron out, but still very good. Super cute decor & ambiance. Service was excellent...very friendly & attentive. Hubby ordered the lox on bagel. Beautiful presentation & delicious. I had the Washington breakfast...the server initially brought me the wrong plate, but quickly corrected the error. The bacon could've been more crispy & the toast could've been toasted on both sides...otherwise it was good. We also shared a chocolate croissant. Pleasantly surprised with the beautiful presentation and with the Nutella, fresh berries & crunchy topping. I think what would've put it over the top is if the croissant had been warmed just a smidgen. Overall good experience. We look forward to trying them for dinner sometime.UPDATE: Tried Chianti for dinner. Got a nice table for two outside on a nice sunny evening. Service was fast & friendly. Warm bread with olive oil to dip in was yummy. The food came out piping hot, which is always a plus in my book. Hubby got the chippino which was bordering on being a little too spicy for him, but still good. I got the chicken marsala with roasted vegetables. It was excellent. The chicken was tender & the sauce was rich, sweet & creamy. I LOVE the roasted vegetables. I probably could've eaten a big bowl of just those. I think we'll be back.

Intimate setting with delicious menu offerings, nice wine and cocktail selection, tasty desserts. Nice selection of appetizers (Primo), salads, pizza, and entrées including rack of lamb and lobster ravioli.

In summary, Chianti is rough around the edges in several ways. While the dining experience was pleasant, it was an awkward one. Firstly, the seating and overall ambiance is rough. Salt and pepper shakers broken. Tables wobbly. Decor has that early 90's vibe. Bright lights for evening dinner. Mish-mash of silverware and seating. And none of this in a cool hipster fashion (thank gawd). The food was ok but delivered lukewarm. And oddly arrived very quickly after ordering. Almost like the dishes were pre-made. Menu fairly sparse. Wine list is a bright spot. Nice Italian selection from multiple regions, which may sound odd as this is an Italian restaurant. But it's not odd to see Seattle Italian restaurants with very few Italian wines. Service was another bright spot. Pizza looked pretty good but did not try.

Chianti is at an excellent location so we picked it. The first red flag was that their reservation system is the staff pretending to write on a piece of paper and didn't know how many people we were. The pasta wasn't half bad and the wines are decently priced for the location. Avoid the Bruschetta, the bread tastes store bought and drowned in balsamic. I let that one pass. The pizza was one of the worst I've had so far. The dough, the toppings, everything tastes stale. The staff didn't take the feedback kindly and are very passive aggressive.

Every time I am in Seattle, I go to this restaurant. They offer the most delectable dishes of Italian cuisine. The taste of the food teleports me straight to Italy--the food is very authentic. One of my newest discoveries on the menu is Pizza Pepperoni (God knows I am picky about Pizza just like every New Yorker, but they beat New York at that each time!!!). That pizza is truly special there. Chicken Marsala is my go-to order at Chianti, but I also had a chance to try their Lamb Chops recently... my only regret was that I could not eat the bone, that's how yummy it was!!! Our server was so attentive and nice, always checking on us, but not too persistently which helps to relax, have cozy conversations, and enjoy the moment to the max. Can't wait for my next time!

We came here for some drinks and food sunny day. First, there was barely anyone there. It was us and another table. The server came up to us, asked me what I wanted to order and started to walk away before taking anyone else's order. We ordered the meatballs, the margherita pizza and a Caesar salad. The meatballs and pizza came out cold, and they forgot to bring the salad. When they finally did, they brought a Greek salad (although they apologized for the lateness of the salad and said it was on the house - it was still the wrong salad )

Came in for Mother's Day. Table of 4 and we had reservations. We came at noon. Was given a brunch only menu and when we asked for lunch menu, we were told that they're not handing out menus but because some tables have been given it, that they would give us one. It was lunch time. Why wouldn't you offer the lunch menu? Anyway, it took an hour to get our food. Place not very busy inside or outside. Then when we asked our server to take our photo, he said "maybe later... I have tables to take care of". It only takes 10 secs to take it. 3 star is not because of the food but because of the service.
