Need to check out the new Chicago Latin restaurant in West Town. The menu is packed with Central and South American flavors drawn from countries including Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, and Ecuador. Great service, amazing flavors in the food, and great ambience. This place should have been more full than it was on a Saturday night, the food was phenomenal.We ordered the Camaroncitos (well-seasoned with very tasty dipping sauces), Carne Brava (flavorful red and green sauces on the steak, well-flavored vegatables to go on the side), and pescado (great sear on the fish with pineapple+mango on the side and coconut rice). Tres leches for dessert was excellent as well.Run, don't walk to this place.

Muchas gracias, Yelpers, for the glowing reviews that directed us here! As soon as we stepped inside Chi-Latin we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Our very charming server was one of two sisters who work here with their father Fredy Orellana, a veteran of years in the kitchens of legendary chefs Charlie Trotter, Michael Kornick and Erick Williams. His experience was reflected in both the food and service. We kicked things off with margaritas--not too sweet, just the way we like 'em--followed by blackened fish tacos and the most wonderful chicken enchiladas in a zesty tomatillo salsa. We shouldn't have (but glad we did) wrap up the meal with an extraordinary homemade tres leches cake. Sabroso! At the end of the meal we got a chance to visit with proprietor Fredy. After 30 years in the restaurant biz, he views Chi-Latin as an opportunity to feature some of his favorite Latin American dishes, each with a unique twist. We can't wait to return!

Amazing meal! This is a relatively new place in West Town. We got the tostones and humitas for apps, the mango chile cocktail, and the burger was highly recommended so we also tried that. Then we got the flan and tres leches cake for dessert. It is a family owned place and the owner and servers were very passionate about the food and truly cared about using high quality ingredients and providing great service. Freddy is an awesome guy as well! I'm truly shocked this place isn't busier. Definitely a must try!

My husband and I were out trying to find a new spot to grab dinner and once we saw the menu and reviews on yelp we had to stop by and so happy we did. The food was spectacular fusion of the best Latin cuisine with their own touch. The appetizers were incredible. First place in Chicago that has humitas. Such a nice surprise. Service impecable and the staff was super friendly. The owner came to say hi and explained the history of the place. We actually run into some friends that have become regulars. We'll definitely be back. Such a delicious new spot. Highly recommend it. Perfect for date night or group dinner. Also the bar has plenty of room too.

Ahh! This used to be Provare, remember that? Provare moved a block west. This is from the folks that's behind Rooster which is a few blocks west. I had the Pork Slider. Everything was very good.P.S. Starting January, Tues. & Wed. 3pm-9pm, Thu. 3pm-10pm, Fri. & Sat. 3pm-11:30pm.

Food was exceptional. The wagyu burger is insane. The owner makes amazing drinks the mango con chile and spicy margarita are very well made. Love it here! Also the owner is great I love to come here. Love the music and the patio outside, great place for dinner!

We live near by and wanted to walk to try a new neighborhood restaurant. WOW, so happy we ate at Chi Latin last night. The service was super friendly and good, Fredy the owner came to check on us twice and told us his story. But the star of the place is the food. We had the fish and the pork chop. Beautiful in presentation and equally delicious with generous portions and amazing flavors. This is a must visit spot in West Town. We can't wait to go back on a Wednesday for the tostones special! Thank you Chi Latin for an amazing meal and some yummy margaritas!
