This food truck stops by Bellevue once in a while. They used to serve all of their items in a gyro/wrap style so it was kind of like a BBQ gyro. But the most recent time I had them they instead served everything plate style, so basically like a gyro platter. The food was all decent, but some pieces of meat were a little lukewarm/dry. They ran out of fries, so we didn't end up feeling full. It was also very expensive for a below average quantity of food.Overall I would say it's worth a shot if you're in a hurry and want something Mediterranean-esque. But I probably wouldn't recommend repeat visits because of the uneven quality and low value.

Oh my gosh this place is delicious!! Great blend of flavors with their cream sauce and avocado hummus. Love the way they incorporate fruit and eggplant into their plate dishes. Not to mention their amazing falafels, so crisp on the outside and soft without being dry inside. Truly impressed as a die-hard Mediterranean food fanatic. Give it a go if you get the chance!

Really happy I got to try this food truck! Lately the food trucks in the area haven't been that exciting or are all doing riffs on grilled cheese (which is tasty, but not worth $12 IMO). I ordered the tarfaya (beef) sandwich which is served with charmoula salsa and Moroccan BBQ sauce and a side salad. I couldn't tell which was slaw, salsa, and BBQ sauce, but together it was sweet, spicy, and warm (like cinnamon and cloves, but way better than it sounds). Together they were excellent accompaniments to the spiced and savory beef kefta. I want to come back for the Sawira (chicken)!

Wow! I finally got a chance to try Chewaya, and it was fantastic! I had the Safi Lamb and the Vegetable Samosa. The lamb was very tender, perfectly seasoned, and much more interesting than any other lamb dish I've ever had from a food truck (let alone from a brick and mortar restaurant!) I liked the samosa so much I had to go back for a second-- it was surprisingly flavorful and flaky. To be honest, I usually find samosas dry or otherwise boring-- not these! These were juicy and downright addictive. And, on top of all that, Chef Ziki is one of the warmest, most friendly people you'll meet.

1st time I ate food so good I felt compelled to go to yelp to drop them a review. The fact that I haven't had good couscous in years may have biased my review but it's the best Mediterranean food I've had in 5 years in Seattle

Since my original review I've become a regular. As regular as I can given that they only come by my office every two weeks. I'd eat there more if they changed their schedule(hint Hint). Everything is good, but the Tarfaya- Kefta brochettes and the Sawira - chicken are my favorites. Well those are my favorite entrees, actually my favorite thing on the menu is the artichoke Hummus and pita. It's hard to describe the flavor of the food, there are so many things hitting your tongue at once, and I hate the phrase "explosion in my mouth", but it kinda is.I've also finally tried the tea which a friend keeps raving about and it's quite good. Sweet and soothing on a cold, fall day. I can hardly contain my excitement on "Chewaya Day." The food is really something to look forward to.

I tried the Tarfaya (beef) brochettes, which was topped with a crunchy slaw and wrapped in a warm pita. The beef had plenty of savory flavor and reminded me of a meatball. The slaw was very fresh and included pieces of pineapple that added some bites of sweetness. The entree includes either a side salad or fries. I ordered the salad, which ended up being a lot smaller than expected....just a few pieces of lettuce broken up and a fairly small amount of chopped veggies on top. On the bright side, it had a flavorful dressing....but my point here is to go with the fries! The portion is pretty filling, but I feel that the price of $9.50 is a little high. However, the service is great as the employees are friendly and appear happy to chat with the customers.
