Cheran Market

This is my little spot when I want some pretty cheap food and don't want to deal with the crowds. This is your typical Mexican market with a little bit of this and that. I usually come here for carne asada, tortillas, produce and Mexican ice creams. A very small location but it's packed with a bunch of gems!

I get my doggie groomed next door. The last time I got her groomed I needed some Serrano chiles and some cilantro for my salsas. The inside was very small, but they pack the shelves with a lot of really good items. The last two times I went in I purchased flour tortillas these are the delicious thin tortillas. I don't care for what you get in a typical grocery store. This time I looked a little bit more and found the corn tortillas. They had them in an ice chest. The tortillas were still warm. The guy behind the meat counter suggested I try the flap meat he was cutting. I assumed it was for carne asada since that is what I used in the restaurant I used to own. He offered it to me either marinated or plain. His description of the marinade tempted me enough to buy it.I cooked it for my family, it was so tender and full of flavor. You could see the onion pieces. I wish I found this tienda sooner, I've lived nearby for almost forty years. I'll be back to try more delicious options.

Great marinated chicken and meat. Very tender great for grilling awesome prices. They also have salsas and cheese. Mini grocery store aswell.

First time cooking carne asada for a semi large group of folks for a birthday party and wanted quality meat and extremely yummy. I kept getting compliments from my guests...wow...a success...the lady at the register said "taqueros" come here to buy meat for their business. Now I know why! Authentic...hidden gem...I'm so glad I decided to take a risk on this store and not another I had in mind..and best of all its not far from where I live...I must be dreaming so please don't wake me up...Don't judge the place from the outside or in but taste and know that the meat here is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

I just felt lucky to found the real maiz tortillas here last min on a 4th of july, i was hating Guerrero tortillas so my mission to the little market was a success. I looked around my area for tortillas and no one had any. This is the spot...but i got lucky they only had like four tortilla bags left so that means they do run out!

BEST carne asada marinated meat!!! I just moved to the area and been looking for an authentic place to buy carne asada meat for me to grill, and I FOUND the best place! Better then north gate and any others my opinion (don't get me wrong I like north gate for other things) no one really notices it cause it's a small shop, but it's a gem! The meat was super soft, and marinade was just right! Super cheap too! They also have warm tortillas in the cooler in the back, fresh salsas and cheese! I bought our whole taco night dinner there! The avocados was huge! 3 big ones for $3! Or 1 for $1.29... I bought 2 lbs meat, 1 package fresh warm corn tortilla, 2 liters of soda, 4 tomatoes, 3 large avocados, 5 white onions, 4 bunches on cilantro, a tub of fresh green salsa all for $24! The owner was sooo nice and welcoming! Everyone had to go and but their meat! It's sooo good!!! You won't regret it!!! thank you Cherans market for me and my families delicious dinner! I will be back and will recommend all my friends and family!

This is one of the only places I come for my carne preparada or pollo preparado. If your trying to make an authentic Mexican dish don't waste your time going to a commercial grocery market. You have it all here.

The carne asada meat is sooo good!!!! I highly recommend. Northgate and Pancho villa is good but it was a bit on the pricy side. To be honest I paid half the price for the carne asada and it was the best I ever had.

Searched on Yelp for fish. They only had shrimp. I asked the staff, they sell Tilapia and shrimp only. But only had the shrimp. Ah well, there was a good selection of meats and the prices seemed reasonable. I purchased a pound of carne asada for $4.99. It was great, not overdone by the marinade. Better flavor than Valley Farm. I'll be back.
