My wife's family is from Chicago and with Polish heritage I set out to find some authentic Keilbasa. Journey led me to Zygma grocery where I found a whole refrigerated deli counter full of 10-12 flavors of smoked sausages. There were another 10-12 deli meat types that are native to Eastern Europe. The grocer has about 10-12 stands in there with everything from spice racks, pickled vegetables, polish beer/wine, deserts, condiments (mustard rack was awesome) and noodles, etc. Lastly the back wall is refrigerated with polish/Hungarian sausages, cheeses, drinks, and frozen Pierogi's savory and sweet. I will return as I have just scratched the surface of their offerings. I was recommended the Cherry Kielbasa and Wedding Kielbasa. Staff all speaks English and very friendly....or as friendly as those from that region can be ;)

Excellent selection of mostly Polish grocery items and some Polish gifts (Polish pottery, t-shirts, mugs with Polish folk art, and more). They had pantry items like pickles, kraut, jam, candy, bottled water, and juice. They also had freezers full of several varieties of Pierogies and a refrigerator with cheese, lox, and more. They also have a deli containing meats and cheese, and a case of cakes. Highly recommend if you're looking for Polish food or gifts!

"European" seems to mean mostly Polish and central Europe. Which is fine, but I was looking for a Greek delicacy. Lots of other fishy options in the cooler but no Taramasalata. Sliced meats and sausages, cheeses, a dozen different beers, magazines, candy, grocery items, frozen. All sorts of great stuff with lots of accent marks and not enough vowels. (That's a joke, they have just the right number of vowels.)[Review 19525 overall - 3420 in North Carolina - 495 of 2023.]

A very charming little shop with a modest, but well procured variety of Polish goods. There's a small selection of trinkets, such as mugs, stickers, books (in Polish and English), shirts, and slippers. There's also an array of canned, and jarred foods, as well as candies on the shelves. The prized items are in the deli case, where you'll find a variety of cheeses, lunch meats, and best of all, the smoked links! The frozen items are wonderful too! I'm glad to have a reliable source for good perogi! The wine and beer section is worth browsing through too. The service is great, and keeps the shop immaculately clean.

My husband is 100% Polish.... without being able to speak the language. Both sets of his Grandparents came from Poland in the early 1900s. Whenever we want to stock up on Polish items, we come here and spend at least $100. Lol. They have great meats. I love their traditional kielbasa and cherry smoked kielbasa. I also like their bacon. It's much nicer, leaner, and better flavor than what you get at a regular store. They have Polish beers, sodas, teas, mustard, sauerkraut, soup mixes, chocolate, candies, and they get kolache cookies from a bakery up North. They have a german rye bread that is very tasty that we like to get too. It is frozen and you have to bake it the rest of the way at home in your oven. The staff there chat amongst each other in Polish and with any patrons that speak Polish. It's very cool. The staff is very nice. On weekends the store is extremely busy. I've often been in there and have overheard folks say they came from Columbia, SC etc. I stopped by on a Monday this time and there was just me and one other customer in the store. Hours are 10am- 6pm. They also have a small deli to grab lunch. They have frozen pierogis... but we are partial to the ones we bring back from New Jersey instead over these. They also have a few other items for sale that vary each time: pottery, tshirts, shoes, seasonal items such as decorated wooden eggs, and during Christmas they have Oplatki, which is a wafer used as a Polish custom to break a piece off and wish each other well. The store is very clean and located in a tiny strip mall in Pineville. Highly recommend this place.

Was waiting for a Polish deli to buy food at here in Charlotte. Got a recommendation from someone when I was talking about how we could get such great food in Buffalo, NY. Missed the Polish food I grew up on and tried this place. Great place to shop for sausage and everything Polish. Highly recommend this store and it will be a weekly trip for me to stock up.

ZYGMA is fantastic! The preface this review, my wife is Polish and I lived in Poland when I served in the Peace Corps. We live in Columbia, SC but make the drive a few times each year to stock up on Polish food.First, the owners are helpful and hospitable. They welcome Poles with Polish, a slice of home for my wife. They make due with my "Polish" before turning to English. The fresh meats are great. Although not a stocked as a store in Poland or a bigger city in the US, ZYGMA has a nice variety. They also have smoked and pickled herring. Got to admit, my love of pickled herring is rooted in my Peace Corps days. ZYGMA also has a slew of childhood favorites (candy, cookies, etc) that my wife likes and enjoys sharing with our daughters. They also have a variety of juices, specifically Tymbark. The frozen pierogi and pyzy are great! We load up a older of these each time we go! The selection of teas and spices is solid. The jars of veggies and such as good as well. Finally, the selection of beer is good. They seem to bring in new beers about once per year. As a result, I have had the regulars (Warka, Lomza, Zywiec), but I have also had Polish craft beers. Picked up some Wasocz today. I tend to stock up on the beer.Point is: ZYGMA is a great place for Polish food! This is a legit slice of Poland nestled in Pineville, NC!

European convenient store. Definitely worth going there even if it is 30-40 mins drive if you live up North of Charlotte and you are European. They have a fantastic selection of products you have definitely missed back from home. You will love everything because all is imported.Only downside to it is the PRICE. Expect to pay 4x to 10x more than you have paid back home.
