Finally tried Yummi Banh Mi at Resident Culture's food truck Friday. The grilled pork is my go-to and it was a solid banh mi. The price felt a little high but it's on par with Charlotte food prices.

I don't know what it is, but I just love banh mis. They are whats right with the world. This food truck has several locations where they post up, just check social media. I had the pleasure to see them outside the new BOA building in the perimeter and posted. They were all so nice and prompt in preparing and delivering to me a nice, warm delectable banh mi. I was hungry and it definitely hit the spot. Chicken banh mi was my go to.Wherever I see them, I will not leave without a banh mi.

The Yummi Banh Mi truck came by our neighborhood for our food truck Friday during this COVID19 quarantine. I placed a preorder the day before thru email. I was texted that my order was ready and could pick up my order from the truck right on time. I wanted to try a lot of items so I ordered- Lemongrass pork Banh Mi -No cucumbers, mayo on the side, Vietnames bbq pork Banh Mi- No cucumbers, mayo on the side, Banh mi fries with lemongrass beef- no cucumbers and Jasmine Rice Bowl with lemongrass pork - no cucumbers. When I picked up the order and got it home there was no mayo on the side. The Banh mi fries also had cucumbers on top. The steak fries for the Banh mi fries were also cold and hard. The toppings on top were good tho. Overall I felt like all of the meat for each dish was super salty. The meat was also dried out. The portions and prices were fair. The customer service was great. Glad I was able to support them during our neighborhood food truck event but overall I wasn't impressed by the taste of the food. Yummi Banh Mi Food Truck Friday May 8, 2020 5:30pm

This was my first time trying a banh mi and I'm a fan! I went with the sweet bbq pork and the meat was tender and very flavorful. I went with all of the toppings and would've even preferred more jalapenos - I like it spicy! The food was served up quickly. In addition to the banh mis, they had rice bowls and pho.If you see this truck in your hood or business park, definitely stop by and give them a try!

Really good food truck that did a pop up in my neighborhood! I was so excited to find out they were coming because I've heard about how good the Banh mi sandwiches are here! I loved that I didn't have to stand in a long line and wait for hours. I put my order in online and they texted me when it was ready! I ordered the lemongrass pork Banh mi and it was really good! I loved all of the different flavors and textures. It had really good and juicy meat, tangy pickled veggies, and fresh cilantro and jalapeños on top. It also had a great garlic mayo that added a creamy texture to the sandwich. The bread was crunchy and fresh! I also tried the lemongrass chicken and lemongrass beef Banh mi sandwiches. They were also very good! I couldn't decide which one I liked most! My sister got the fried rice bowl with sautéed veggies. It was pretty tasty too but I prefer the sandwich. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it's a little pricey. The Banh mi was $9 and didn't really fill me up. I wish it came with a side or some more meat in it. Overall, the food was very good and flavorful! I would love to have it again!

Follow this truck. If they're within driving distance, drive! The Vietnamese rice bowl is just as good from the truck as visiting their restaurant. I went with the lemongrass pork with white rice and a local fried egg on top! I don't have a creative enough vocabulary to express to you how delicious and fresh this bowl is! The portal is flavorful, the rice is cooked perfectly and the fresh veggies all come together for the perfect meal. Scott and his fun and friendly personality makes you want to come back again and again!

I follow things like food trucks on my instagram and this was one account that I had followed to see where they were at and finally one day, they were close enough to me I could scoot over on my lunch break. So I did what a true foodie would do and ordered a bahn mi and a rice bowl. The bahn mi was pretty good. Not the best I have ever had but overall I was happy. I just prefer my bahn mi on a a baguette vs. a French roll. The meat was seasoned properly but it was just too much bread for me. For me the BBQ pork is greater than the lemongrass pork. The rice bowl was banging. I added a fried egg, and should have asked if they could have left it runny. This would have made my rice bowl perfect. The pork was cooked well and seasoned righteously. Definitely good solid eats coming out of a food truck and one of the best food truck experiences you can have in Charlotte.

Another one of my favorite trucks in the qc serves up Vietnamese sandwiches (baguettes garlic mayo, cukes, carrots peppers), rice bowls (rice cukes carrots peppers and cilantro) and tacos. They are quick and the sandwiches are very filling and the baguette is always so fresh and chewy. They do a great job of providing well seasoned flavorful meats and I think on my first few visits I would always get the chicken until they guy taking my order mentioned that the bbq pork was the best and he was so right on that recommendation. I now only order the bbq pork rice bowl or the bbq pork sandwich and it is always amazing.

This is one of the best food trucks I've ever had. They were quick and efficient when getting our food out without sacrificing quality. The banh mi bbq pork had a nice veggie to meat ratio. The flavor was outstanding. If you see this food truck while you're out and about you have to stop.

Yummi Yummi Get In My Tummi! My buddies and I were on our way down to Charleston for our friend's wedding and needed liquid caffeine (aka coffee aka the nectar of cacao) for the 3.5 hour drive. We literally parked behind the Yummi Banh Mi food truck and that's when I realized it was destiny for me to order something. We were in the Third Ward neighborhood of Charlotte. Initially walking past it, the truck was closed. It opened at 11 a.m. and we got there around 10:40 a.m. I stood and stared at the menu for a good 4 minutes before one of the workers came out and said "Hey man, we'll be open soon, so you'll get your banh mi soon!" We went to the Starbucks and got some coffee. I thought the coffee would quell my hunger for the banh mi, but it only amplified it. I went back out and there was already a dude standing to get his food. It was 10:52 a.m. I knocked on the door of the truck and the worker came out and said he could take my order. Score!I ordered the Lemongrass Pork Banh Mi. For a $7.50 price tag, the sandwich was pretty pricey but delicious nonetheless. Pork was seasoned well and it came with pickled carrots, cucumbers, and 2 pieces of jalapenos. A+ for the customer service, A for the food, A- for the price, and A-mazing for the yellow theme truck with the bomb ass logo!
