Chef Joseph here. Wife and I stopped and ate at Woodfite grill in ashville, NC. Service was very slow, over 30 minutes to get our food. Waitress said they only have a cook working the kitchen. Then she told us that they only half of the menu was available.I had wings that were cooked just right. I also ordered the french onion soup which was missing the french flavor. Wife had artichoke dip which was great. This place bring in a Holiday Inn should make sure thier restaurant is top notch. They do not deserve a 4 star rating.

Besides the face that it's in a Holiday inn.... Their badly xeroxes (and short) menus, wholly understaffed, and the kitchen didn't have Trout available when it's one of 4ish main courses they offer. Not impressed.

We were tired after a long drive and decided to eat the the hotel restaurant. Kids eat free if you stay at the hotel. I had the New York strip with grilled asparagus. It was a pricey dish but very good. The steak was very tender and the asparagus were perfectly grilled. The rolls we got as an appetizer were delicious. The homemade butter was tasty. If you don't feel like leaving this place is a solid choice for dinner.

We went here after traveling 10 hours. Walked in and waitress told us what they were out of. This was a Friday night about 6pm. Also couldn't provide cocktails that were requested. Wait time for food was excessive. Server did not check back very often to refill water, etc. Soup served with meal and was only warm. Server did ask Mgr to provide us free breakfast coupons.

What a pleasant surprise. Hotel food is normally pretty blah. But I checked in after driving most of the day and decided based on the hotels Yelp raring I would check it out. I was not disappointed. There were several business men gathered at the bar enjoying a drink. They seemed to frequent the bar. My server was delightful. She checked on me just enough.I started with a garden salad. A few carrots, cherry tomatoes and some sliced cucumber over greens. Simple but adequate.I then had the pork chop with Brussels and mashed. WOW! Perfectly cooked, moist, tender, and flavorful. The Brussels were presented as a skewer and the aioli was texturally perfect and had the perfect amount of smoke (they should bottle it) . Normally I don't even mention the potatoes and I'm trying to stay away from carbs, but they were creamy with a few lumps. Delicious.I did indulge and get the chocolate peanut butter pie. And it was great too. I enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc that was light and fruity. The bar was pretty stocked, several local craft beers on tap and a nice variety of red and white wine.A great meal in Asheville.

Yes I know- a steakhouse inside a Holiday Inn. This place is ridiculously good. I stayed here twice over the past month and the first time...I was skeptical about eating at a Holiday Inn. I chose to Yelp and find a restaurant and was disappointed with the other highly ranked restaurants closer to downtown. So on my 2nd trip, I finally took the bartender's (Maggie who is awesome) word. I had the filet, Caesar salad and grilled asparagus....the filet was like butter. The salad was perfect and the asparagus were some of the best ever.Trust me this place is legit. I witnessed other meals and overheard the reactions. Everything is really good. Maggie makes it even better....she is great!

I'm stunned at the level of quality and presentation of the food at this hotel restaurant. We ate here twice so far, and both times were great. The chicken isn't dried out, the salmon is cooked nicely, and shrimp pasta has a great garlic flavor. Even the salads are presented beautifully, and the fries are so good they should be on the menu as a separate menu item. Both our servers are incredibly friendly. I love the casual, but elegant, vibe this place has.

Ok hold on a good restaurant in a Holiday inn hotel, well yes it is. We were surprised and you will be too. The food, especially the pork chop was great. The fire grilledness of the food is yummy and not overdone. The grilled brussel sprouts were a surprise hit. Our waitress, Dani, was very nice and sweet. The ambiance was a little kitschy being in a Holiday inn but nothing to cause someone to hate it. Sodas were only $2 per drink and that is a steal now it seems. Around $45 for Pork chop and BLT with 2 sodas Overall it was a surprise hit and recommend you try it out.

My wife and I were in Asheville for the first time on Saturday 10/21 for our anniversary and were looking for somewhere to have dinner. After settling on a steakhouse we checked Yelp, liked the positive reviews here and the interesting setting and decided to check it out despite us being unfamiliar with the area and it being a little far from our hotel. We arrived at 8:00PM and were greeted with a darkened restaurant and a sign saying they had closed early with no reason given (posted closing time 10:00PM.) We could've gone over to the front desk to investigate but the point was moot - we were leaving the next day - and I wasn't in the mood for any explanation really. We stood there dumbfounded, as if we'd driven cross country only to find Wally World closed.Would've been a lot better to include a better explanation, whether short-staffed, equipment failure, lack of customers, whatever, and express regrets for disappointing anybody. Maybe next time.
