Wilson's Nursery & Garden Center

On an adventure to look for plants what isn't offer at the big box stores. Since a lot of the garden centers haven't offer much yet. Wilson's open 7 days a week. Which is a plus. And when I stopped in on a Sunday. The store are full of customers. The place is huge and it seem as though I have only visited a corner of a store when I left. Realizing within 30 mins. I went way over budget already..Offered many varieties. All plants look healthy. Place is will organized. And plants as far as your eyes can see. Prices and customer services are great: definitely will be coming back

Four years ago I went here and purchased multiple plants & pots along with potting soil & fertilizer.Sadly only two of my plants have managed to survive the below freezing temps in the winter, both were Dianthus.Today, I made a return visit & bought 3 more plants, all different colors.I'm feeling confident that with some TLC, they will be ready for winter.

I've been to every nursery from Columbia, SC to Lake Norman, NC and Wilson's is easily the best nursery in the Charlotte area. Especially for seasonal color, bedding plants, perennials, veggies and even tropicals. Don't think twice about making the trip if you're even an hour or more away during the spring. You can spend hours there mulling over the selections and it is also a beautifully maintained nursery. Prices for annuals and veggies are great and they perform wonderfully. The difference between annuals I buy from Wilson's compared to Big Box stores is night and day. Much healthier and will grow double or more the size of Big box offerings for the same plant. PRO TIP: It can get crazy in the spring and the parking can be tight. Leave your nursery carts outside the covered areas when shopping and take the plants back to your cart as you pick them out. All the people trying to push carts up and down the narrow aisles on a spring weekend can make it impossible to move and look around, so just park your cart over by the nursery stock and put some plants on it so it won't get taken. Also the staff is very helpful and ask if you don't see a plant or if your looking for a certain type. There is a lot more nursery stock and they may even give you a ride to the back on a utv to go find it.

Mothers Day Bust!!! My basket literally died in 2-days. When I called to inform them, the owner said too bad and kicked me to the curb. I been shopping there for 3 years, to be treated this way sucks. I'll never go there again and I'll certainly tell all my friends not to go either.

We stopped in to purchase a couple of plants. It is closer to our home than Lowe's and is a local small business. It was our first time here. We were very surprised by the selection. They had exactly the plants that I was looking for, at comparable prices to Lowe's. We asked one of the employees for help locating two plants and she was very friendly and helpful.We haven't planted the plants at this point so I can't attest to how well they will last but I would definitely recommend this placed based off my first impression!I can't wait to get my star jasmine planted!

I love this local nursery. There is a wide variety of different plants, flowers, trees, etc. The employees are friendly and helpful. It can definitely get crowded here on weekends (especially at the start of growing season!). Normally I prefer to start my garden from seeds, but last year I didn't get that chance (so that was my first experience with Wilson's). I was curious to see if there was a difference from their plants vs big box depots. Yup. They were healthier and better than the plants I got from the big box depot. The prices are reasonable as well. Give them a chance and check it out.

I found my new favorite nursery! All the staff is so helpful. Their plants are healthy and priced well.
