I am shocked at the lack of great reviews! From the moment we walked in the service was excellent and friendly! They had a special which was a burger, fries and drink for $8 and wow did it look great! We ordered tater tots and a milkshake for a snack and it was easily the best milkshake I have ever had! Chocolate and peanut butter, super thick and creamy! Tots were cooked perfectly as well. It's not the prettiest spot inside nor does it have a ton of seating but the food, prices and service highly make up for it!! It was clean and the vibe was welcoming!

Actually I thought I had already left a review for this place.Classic '50's and '60's drive in and most have inside dining.I am going to date myself but this is the type restaurant I grew up with. McDonalds was the same with Burgers for 15 cents. Burger Chef and others long gone were the same.This local chain should not be confused with the Texan What A Burger Chain and has evolved into a regional competitor It's a regional chain with a limited number of store across the Carolina's.If you're old enough to remember going to the drive in during the '50's, '60's and part of the '70's where you pulled in and place you order and a cheap but good burger was delivered shortly thereafter.Sonic has tried to duplicate the overall experience but nothing including sliders can recreate that experience.Gourmet dining with white Lenin - Answer is noBack to the basis drive in - Definitely yet

The last time I ate here was about 20 years ago. It was old then, even older now. What hasn't changed is the over-the-top friendly service (nearly as sweet as their tea), and the hot items fresh off the grill or outta the frier.My What-a-Cheeseburger all the way (ATW), was exactly the same as I remembered. Hot, tasty, with finely minced slaw and a complimenting chilli to bind it all together. Though it is a large sandwich, I was able to eat in the car and not get a drop on my shirt. Nice.Thanks for staying consistent over the years--a key ingredient for success in my opinion. I say when in Mt Pleasant "Give 'em a whirl" and experience what an iconic, southern burger joint is all about.

I got the BOST burger which was really good. The fries and onion rings were NASTY. No flavor, hard and gross. The burger my wife got had an ice cold bun and wasn't good. We waited 25min for our food. Big disappointment.

It's what you expect, I ordered the burger after the name. Play on words what-a-burger and fries was only 8 dollars and some change. Single fairly flat burger might add another paddy next time but hey for the price the it was worth it. Veggies on it where fresh and crispy. Fries are your standard Krinkle fries you get from the soda shop style burger joints. I would probably get a different more specific side next time in town like the fried pickles or Mac and cheese. The burger was good love to try the bbq bost burger in the future. The building is dated but appears to be a staple restaurant here in the community. and the bathrooms clean. The service was fast.

I got food from the truck in Rockwell toda as I have many times before. I quit getting onion rings and fries a while ago as they went from awesome to nasty and never got better. The burgers and hotdogs stayed good. However, the what's cheeseburger was missing toppings asked for and the toppings that were on it, were pretty scarce. We also got hotdogs that barely had any toppings. Asked for all the way and they were barely there.
