West End BBQ

This is a decent little country diner. Old school style and convenient to the highway if you're traveling cross-country. There's a fair amount of scratch cooking - as in scratch open the box and heat it up, but some good touches too. I had the pork bbq special, which admittedly being new to NC I expected vinegar style, but came dry instead. It was good but not very smokey / barbecue'ish. The service was super friendly and had a few interesting conversations with some of the other patrons. I'd stop again if traveling through rather than eat at a chain restaurant.

The Country Fried Steak was full of white flour lumps. I ate my sides but never touched the steak.

Fairly priced. Excellent service. I had a BBQ pork şandwich which was a bit greasy for my preferences. I would go back if I were in the vicinity.

Great food for a great price, they have a great fried bologna breakfast sandwich, community and servers are nice and friendly. Truly enjoy this place !

The Low Carb Pattie Melt is delicious!! I paired it with a garden salad..Wow the garden salad was great too & they are generous with the toppings too.I got this for my lunch and have enough left over for my dinner!Yum Yum!!

Great place to eat. Reasonable prices. Southern style food and its terrific. Waitress and staff are kind, friendly and respectfull. If in the area, they are a must try. 5 stars.

This place is NOT a bbq place. Food was cold, vegetables and fruit out of cans. Service was ok at best. Place is dingy and definitely outdated.

It's named West End 'BBQ' but its not bbq. The chopped pork plate came out swimming in a pool of pink watery sauce. The fries were over cooked and dry. The hush puppies waaaay over cooked. When I asked the waitress about the pork she informed us that they didn't make it on site, but they bought it in a bag and they just heat it up. This is more of a diner. Breakfast, burgers and such. I would not recommend if you are looking for BBQ.

Went in there were just a few ppl there already eating. Waitress just watched us for about five minutes. She finally came over and took our drink order. Food was very greasy. Grits were very hot but bland and the toast was burnt and cold. Bacon was ok. Waitress never came back to ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks.
