West End Bagels

These are by far the best bagels outside of NY & Philly. We typically get a 6-12 to eat for breakfast throughout the week as they are not on the way to work. It's located in a shopping center and is pretty small inside - some counter height seating and 2 small tables against the wall are all there is, so don't plan on eating there. The lox spread could use some work, and sometimes the toaster seems uneven, but when it comes to the correct balance of chewy, crisp, and doughy - this is the place to go for a proper bagel!

I visited for the first time and got the West End Classic panini . The young lady taking my order was super friendly. I thought the panini was good but the portion of turkey was too thin and didn't fill my sandwich from end to end so there was large gaps of nothing but mayo. I like their chipotle mayo and I'll try them again when I'm in the area.

Pleasantly surprised by how fantastic the bagel sandwiches are here. Can't wait to go back. Enormous selection of fresh baked bagels!

We came for some breakfast and this place was super packed! The place is a little small for the crowd they get but the employees are very nice and they had a wide variety of bagels. Me and my wife both got breakfast sandwiches on bagels and they were both so good. The everything bagel is my favorite and it was very fresh and tasty. The wait was a little long but was worth it. Will be back for sure, give it a try!

These aren't bagels; they are puffy bread. Was I surprised when I visited today (1/23/25)? Not at all. I could tell the way they looked that they were not boiled. I tried peeking in the back to see if there was a kettle to boil the bagels, but I did not see one. I did, however, purchase two bagels, an onion, and an egg. I knew they weren't authentic, but I bought them anyway. I just drove across the country and had a good bagel in Greensboro, NC., at Brueggers's Bagels. I went there three times within a week. Their bagels were fantastic. I could see the bagels boiling, and you can tell the difference, but Americans like everything big. Authentic or not, as long as it's big, we'll buy it. I happen to like real bagels, not imitations. Thanks, but no thanks, West End.

As a recent transplant to SC, I am happy to live nearby West End. They produce a very good bagel.

I imagine this is as close as this part of Charlotte gets to an authentic NYC style deli. I ordered 3 different bagels for myself and family and they were on point.

Delicious bagels! I tried the French toast bagel with cream cheese and it was amazing. Delicious sugar topping and the cream cheese taste fresh and homemade. My sons had the bagel sandwiches and loved them. Highly recommend this cute place.

The best pumpernickel bagels around. They have a large selection of flavors of bagels, make sandwiches, and sell some baked goods.

The bagels are good but the customer service is severely lacking. Their internet was down so they did not have their online orders. When asked if they can make the online order with proof it was suggested that I must be the person who can smell internet connection and was there to dupe them out of bagels. No other options were even considered to continue doing business. Venmo, Paypall, Zelle anythng else. The service has always been lackluster but this one took the cake.
