Wateree Cajun Seafood & Wings

First off, it's local so don't expect $$ to be waisted on decor.Mom and pops, looks like an Asian restaurant turned CajunCombo 5, garlic butter, mild was exactly what we needed.TBH first look at the menu, we were surprised at the small selection for dinner, however if you are looking for seafood boils, it was perfect.Our dinner beat anything we have EVER eaten at Joe's Crab Shack or most beach side broils.Service was extremely friendly.

I'm in Camden, 1200 miles from home, and checking out possible living facilities for my mother. After looking at this one facility 45 minutes from the town she lives in, I googled restaurants nearby for lunch and Wateree Cajun Seafood and Wings came up. It was two blocks away so an easy choice. Interiors casual, quaint and clean. I was impressed with the menu, which included several reasonably priced lunch options. I love oysters and, as I live in the center of the country, I don't get them very often, so I was pleased to see a fried oyster basket on the lunch menu. The waitress was amenable to substituting Cajun rice for fries and I added an order of coleslaw to run it out. The whole meal was very reasonably priced. The oysters were nicely breaded, not too much breading and delicious. The Cajun rice was some of the best I've ever had. Identifiable pieces of chicken, ham, sausage and even some shrimp. Delicious. I highly recommend this place

Absolutely fabulous. Great portions, reasonable prices, and hot and fresh. I love their sauces. Don't skip the coleslaw or hush puppies! This is the second time we've been and both visits were surprisingly excellent. We often choose to go to the fancier spots in Camden, but this really ranks up there at the top! My only complaint would be the usage of so much styrofoam disposable stuff, but they bring it full of delicious food so it's really not much of a complaint . Way to go, happy to have this spot in Camden!

I can only say WOW! The food was delicious! Seafood boils are fabulous! Service was on point! A must stop and devour!

When you drive up to the place it doesn't look like much. However, as soon as you walk in you receive are friendly welcomed. We sat down and our booth was nice and clean. They bought us drinks and menus. We ordered 1/2 a pound of mussels, clams, and shrimp and a cluster of crab legs. We order it cooked in lemon pepper and medium spicy. We also ordered a side of potatoes. The boil came in a bad nice and hot. We were provided with disposable gloves, napkins, cleaning towels and utensils. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sauce on the boil was really tasty but a little too salty. The buttery taste and the lemon pepper was on point. The potatoes were, for the most part, perfectly cooked as one of them was a little hard. The explosion of flavors were great. Service was friendly, courteous and helpful and the place is really clean. Overall, a great experience. The only issue I have is that it is a little pricey and the sauce was a little too salty. Other than that everything was perfect. Not a fancy place, but the food and service is great. Will return!

I had a craving for seafood and didn't want to drive out of town. I'm really pleased that we decided to try out this restaurant.The place is very clean. The service was great and I loved the soft jazz playing on the speakers.The music was not overbearing, just enough for me to feel like I was on a real date.The food was phenomenal. I had the combo #1, jumbo shrimp, Wateree seasoning, delicious.The food is brought out in a styrofoam container, and plastic flatware. Fine by me. It's a no nonsense approach.I will absolutely be back. I truly feel that I got my money's worth. The staff is friendly and professional. Give em a try. I think you too will be pleasantly surprised.I'm all about supporting the small business owner. This is a home run.

Love their teriyaki and fried rice. The only thing I would add is a little bit more seasoning in the fried rice but it's still pretty good for South Carolina.

First time here, and I was pleased with everything overall. I got hot wings and steamed oysters to-go. The oysters were absolutely AMAZING! The wings were good, only thing I would critique about them is the amount of sauce, but I'm sure I could've requested extra (next time I will). The cashier was super pleasant and helped me decide without feeling rushed. I can't wait to try more stuff.

This is the highest rated yelp restaurant in Camden. They consistently put out food that is as expected. They have a tremendous carry out business, but if you're looking for a quiet place to have dinner, their dining room is often empty. I usually get the chicken wings and the fried rice, but on occasion I've gotten their boiled seafood.
