I was born in a small town and I live in a small town, time to que John Mellencamp. That's the way I feel about events here, nothing like the feel of a small town.I've been to this park many times over the recent years but this evening was special because my Grand was performing in the town Christmas show Choir after the Tree Lighting. The Town did such a great job adding the 2,400 square foot Amphitheater, it's a great design and a needed addition to the growing Town of Fort Mill. It's a town tradition along with the parade. They close down main street making it walkable for all the local business'.We're living in the 'post-COVID' world and it feels so good to see all the residents and hundreds of families out celebrating the season and just being together. There was so much laughter, so many smiles and it was clear to me we as a community, a town and a nation are feeling happier and more optimistic.

Came out on a Saturday to enjoy some jazz in the park. I arrived around 7:30 and the weather was perfect. I lucked up on a parking space right off the green but this place definitely needs more dedicated parking. The amphitheater is nicely located at one end of the green and away from the playground. This allowed ppl to setup their chairs and tents by the stage and families to be closer to the park area so their kids could play. The addition of bathrooms is super nice and the accommodations are great. This event included food trucks and a beer tent. You had to purchase tickets to buy beer but the ticket tent was right next to the beer tent. Can't wait for the next concert and to hopefully entice the family to come out too.

Not enough shade! It you plan to come to the new park- wear a hat and pack a fan. The city of Fort Mill needs to plant some trees and get additional shade screens.

Super park that at 12 acres is huge for a city the size of Fort Mill. Lots of walking space and paved paths throughout the park, plus it has some ups and downs that can make for a good workout.Huge open green space that's perfect for festivals and concerts general running around. There is a big playground set out in the center of the park that features slides, swings and a jungle gym. Some parking but not nearly enough. You'll find another dozen or so spaces on the back side of the park.[Review 12472 overall, 2260 of 2019.]

Great little park with tenth of a mile markers. I like the paved path around the open park, feels safe, no bushes or short trees for things to jump out from. Only porta potty restroom surrounded by wooded fence like barriers near the chidren's playground. Drinking faucet near playground. But no lower faucet for dog. People tend to park & run/walk the paths out of the park. That's the only way to get a mile+ cause the walk around the perimeter of the park is probably half a mile or less. Gets minus a point for no real restroom & only one drinking fountain with no way to get water for your dog unless you bring a dish. My fault forgetting water for our walk but still nearest free park that we like.

This is what I consider to be Fort Mill's central park. The location of the Strawberry Festival, which by the way in my opinion has very little to do with strawberries. They'd be better off with a peach festival since there's a farm just down the street. Or why not both? Anyways.I do like this park otherwise. It has a running trail around the outside edge. Not quite a mile in length. It butts up to the end of a greenway in the area for the extra distance. You can take it to other parts of town. Or there's the sidewalk through town on the other side of the park. Wide open green spaces and play grounds abound. This can be just a cool greenspace to hang out in on a beautiful day. And it's walking distance from restaurants and a brewery in town.

Welcome to Walter Elisha Park, Fort Mill's biggest public park that host festivals and concerts and the World Famous Strawberry Festival. Okay, I don't know if it's World Famous but it does bring in big crowds and the town of Fort Mill does a great job with it every year. But, the other great attraction to Walter Elisha Park is the playground, the large green space, the walking paths and the bike trail which is paved and in great condition. You can enjoy a midday picnic with the family, play soccer or just bring your dog out for some great exercise. The facilities always seem to be clean and Walter Elisha is a safe and secure park and there is ample parking. Enjoy!

Here for the strawberry festival. Park in huge, I gave 5 stars for the simple fact that it's enormous. There is a huge playground area. Just so many people I didn't get a shot of it

This is a great park, big playground and walking trails. The only thing is there are no tables in the shade for a picnic. There are tables just none in the shade, and the playground has no shade as well...It's a really nice park though. The different play areas are well spaced so it doesn't feel crowded. A little shade in the play area and a table or two under a tree and this would be a great 5 star park for kiddos.
