Wallburg Diner

I enjoyed my egg salad sandwich and fries. Only down side was that the fries were not hot and honestly we waited too long not to have hot fries. My friend did not like her fish. She said they seemed like fish sticks lol. But she enjoyed the chicken livers. I also ordered a coffee which was pretty good for diner coffee. They also have diet Dr Pepper! Score!

Wow!!! I can't believe how many times I've driven by this little place and only just today actually tried it. Had I known I would have definitely stopped sooner. Its right next to the post office and had I not seen someone else enter before me, I would have been confused on where to find it. It's just a single glass door on the side of the building. No open sign, name of restaurant or hours posted on it. First of all, the service was amazing. So friendly and sweet! Both ladies that waited on us were awesome. secondly, the menu has all sorts of delicious options that anyone can find something they like. It's super casual inside. They have the country diner vibe down. Tables and chairs in the center and some booths around the perimeter. They have regular menus but definitely check out the specials board next to and the host/cashier station and huge wall size chalkboard on the back wall. That chalkboard is where the cool kids order from. HA! Just kidding! As far as I'm concerned, there is nothing on any menu that is not delicious. I'm now on a quest to take note of all the little out of the way places I come across. Who knows what kind of gems I've been missing all these years!

Really, they have the best Chicken Sandwiches I've ever tried. Chick fil a has nothing on them.Also had yhr fried chicken livers. I wish they had a little more seasoning, but I did love the livers.Get the Sweet Potato Fries with their honey and cinnamon dipping sauce. There is nothing better.

After a morning playing at Union Cross Park, Wallburg Diner hit the spot!. This was our first visit here and it won't be our last. Located on 109 beside the post office in Wallburg is this sweet diner that makes you feel like family. We sat where there was a free table and we're immediately greeted by a waitress that took our drink order. At first glance their menu is generic, but they have about 10 - 15 specials that aren't in the menu. These are written in chalk marker on the walls. Ranging from Cajun shrimp poboys to Italian grilled chicken sandwich with pesto. The later was my choice. It came with one side and I couldn't say no to the sweet potato fries with cinnamon honey. For $8.95 you can NOT beat that. My sister ordered the BBQ chicken quesadilla and loved it!The food came out quickly, everything was delicious, the prices are glorious and it's super family friendly! If it wasn't for being 45 minutes away, I would be here weekly!

I have never heard of this place until recently and it's in a small town about 15 minutes outside of the city of Winston-Salem where I live. After hearing good reviews from people on Instagram, I drove down and was seated pretty immediately. The waitress immediately brought my water and allowed me a minute to look over the menu. When I ordered it was less than 10 minutes before my food arrived. Hot, and really really good. The place was really welcoming, with all the specials on the sign in the dining room. The food was really affordable

It wouldn't shock me one bit to one day walk in to find Guy Fieri with his camera crew here. I'm not saying if this place matches the "dive" description, but it definitely is punching well above its weight. Much of the menu and all of the days specials are posted along the wall, and don't miss the separate listing of the daily desert offering. Ask your server what they recommend, because they have their finger on the pulse of the best and most popular daily dishes. My bride and my sister are most frequently drawn to the pork ribs, but I order all around the menu and have been pleased with everything I've ordered. For some reason, I tend to forget that they offer hoecakes, which if you are uninitiated is something of a cross between a pancake and a biscuit. Trust me, you'll like it. The servers are helpful and courteous, and are working their tails off because the place is always hopping. We've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get a table, but a short weight is to be expected at dinner time. I keep promising myself that I'll make it back for breakfast, one of these days, but have yet to experience it. I'll make sure to report back.

This is our family's go-to. It's a diner at its best--a hole-in-the-wall that is warm and inviting, mostly due to its fabulous staff. The food is SO good. Try the fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and American cheese and just try to tell me it's not the best chicken sandwich you've ever had. Their veggies are like your grandma makes them (but maybe better), and their daily specials are always a win (my personal fave is the stew beef and rice on Fridays).
