Uptown Yolk is easily one of the best brunch spots in Charlotte! The food is absolutely delicious,, with rich flavors and perfectly cooked dishes that make every bite worth it. Whether you go for the classics or something a little more creative, you won't be disappointed. I typically go for the Double Up and add a pancake or the super delicious sweet potato waffle! The service is friendly and efficient, even when the place is packed. Yes, there's often a wait, but it's well worth it! If you're in a hurry, the bar is first come, first served, which is a great option if you don't want to wait for a table. There is also the option of takeout.Highly recommend Uptown Yolk for a top-tier brunch experience in Charlotte!

I recently visited Yolk in Charlotte and had a mixed experience. The food itself was solid--I ordered the Wisconsin omelette and everything was cooked well and flavorful. The ingredients seemed fresh, and the portion sizes were fair for the price. However, the service was disappointing. It took a long time to get seated, and once at the table, the staff was inattentive. The restaurant was busy, but even considering that, the service felt unorganized and lacking in attentiveness.Overall, the food was good, but the experience was let down by poor service. If they improve on that, it could be a great spot, but for now, it's just okay.

This spot was worth the hype! Not only was it a gorgeous vibe inside, but the food and service matched. We were able to get a reservation down the same day and were greeted nicely and seated quickly. The food options were plentiful - it was honestly hard to decide exactly what to get. I got a side of eggs along with french toast & it was delicious! I would recommend going here for a little brunch date or hang with friends. It's a nice relaxing experience & you'll leave FULL.

Amazing food, ambiance, and the service was great! I would recommend making a reservation so that you do not have to wait. Luckily I did and we were sat as soon as we showed up. I got a pancake, eggs, toast, and potatoes. The pancake had a sweet, buttery taste to them, and the potatoes were nicely seasoned. My husband got french toast, which he said tasted average. Definitely would come back to try their chicken and waffles.

I made a reservation for 2 and the hostess was kind enough to accommodate 3 of us. We arrived early and initially it seemed like we would have to wait until our original reservation so we were preparing to leave when our name was called. Nice. I ordered an omelette with potatoes and a side of jerk shrimp. Food was ok; since we heard great things about the shrimp and grits I was excited to try the shrimp. Sadly I didn't like it.Our server was very nice, but after taking our order, she disappeared and it was hard to find her to order drinks. The sangria was too sweet for my taste unfortunately. As I was eating the last bite of my food, the server came over and asked if we were ready for our checks. I thought that was odd. 5 mins later, the hostess came over and told us that the next party for our table had arrived and basically they needed us to leave. This was 1 hour and MAYBE 10 minutes after we were seated. Mind you, most of the tables around us had been seated before we arrived. If they sat our party of 3 at a table for 6, it would have been nice to know that from the start. It didn't feel good to be rushed out when others were given time to enjoy their meal. Horrible experience at a place I had been looking forward to visiting, very unfortunate. There's room for improvement for sure.

Go for brunch. Get the 2 If By Land. Add sausage. Come back here and tell me how amazing it is! I was devastated when The Yolk left my little ol' hometown of Rock Hill because this was my weekend spot EVERY weekend, but now that I'm closer to Uptown, I'm making up for lost time. It's such a cool space too with Insta-worthy photo ops and even more photogenic food!

So very disappointed! Walked in about 1130 AM on a Tuesday, we were a party of 2. There was another 2 party waiting to be seated. There was 1 person serving as hostess and waitstaff with about 9 tables already seated. The party ahead of us was seated as 4 other parties came in. The hostess/waitstaff person was busy serving beverages and taking orders but unfortunately after waiting more than 20 minutes without even an acknowledgment my party decided to dine elsewhere.I realize this may have been an unusual circumstance so I will give them another opportunity to live up to the hype.

Came for Sunday brunch made reservations for two. Had the WWIII Cornmeal Belgian waffle with 3 chicken wings (seasoned) it waffle was delicious as usual the wings not so much l. They could have been cooked a bit more for me. Next time I'll get mine with the 1 crispy chicken thigh. My brunch partner had the MOJO HASH Coffee braised steak, diced sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, with over-easy egg, scallion pesto, served with toast. The hash could have been seasoned a bit more it was rather bland. They also had the pancakes that were so good. PORGY & BESS and the THE COME UP. Both were really delicious!!! But they do fill it alot with the ice and the glass are all ready petite. I'm definitely going to go back and try something else. Hope they make some changes. Beautiful and bright decor. The space is airy. They have a few games in the waiting area and they validate parking.

This was such a cute brunch spot in the Uptown/Downtown Charlotte area! Definitely areas where you can take pictures and enjoy the vibe. Reservations are preferred especially on the weekends.I had a reservation for 11:15 and was seated within 10 minutes of me arriving. Our waitress Kim was phenomenal. They have a nice variety of menu items. I had the chicken and sweet potato waffle with grits and egg whites. The wait time for the food once I ordered was longer than anticipated (about 30 minutes) but Kim kept checking in with us. My chicken was extra crispy which I loved and seasoned very well. My waffle was a little hard, I prefer it to be fluffy. The eggs were cooked hard which was awesome. The service overall was amazing, the food would give an 8/10 but would definitely come back and try other items.

Pretty good brunch food The cappuccino was super yummy - they only offer whole or oat milk. I got an egg white omelette (the brave heart) and it was really good with some hot sauce on the side. The grits were also pretty good.
