After the dentist and then exploring Fort Mill, it was time for a beer! We arrived at Untamed Waters at just after 4pm and while it was quiet, the regulars started to arrive while we enjoyed or snack. The CHEFewezen was excellent for me while Mrs. K. enjoyed a non-alcoholic beer from their cooler. Lots of options here for beers and you can see the big tanks fermenting away in the background. With the beer, their large pretzel was tasty with the beer cheese (shouldn't there also have been a pot of mustard?) and we enjoyed that as well. Definitely a comfy and friendly spot for beer and good fun![Review 53 of 2025 - 1242 in South Carolina - 23622 overall]

I never even heard of this place...but this is a cozy bar-brewery near downtown Fort Mill.I met up with a group of gals to play Bunco on a weeknight....taking up half the space. The multiple table setting was ideal for it.Not a beer drinker, so I tried their Triple Jam Cider, and it was pretty good...though a bit thick (??). The pricing was very friendly. I didn't eat, but some of us ordered Pretzel Sticks, which looked decent...and their Pimento Empanadas looked especially good (wish I took pictures!). If I return, I definitely want to try their Empanadas. Although I had hoped that their food menu was a bit more extensive, what they did have was pretty solid. In any case, I appreciated their big hospitality in serving all of us!

Great service! Amazing beer! And they serve food too! We came in for a drink after work to get out of the house and enjoy sometime together. This place has a great vibe and good for social gatherings too. We will definitely be back because they have a delicious coffee stout!!! Cheers!

I was a fan of 1873's beers but they just could make the place fun. Untamed waters has figured it out and brought some fun life to spot with music bingo's and trivia. The owners are local and super friendly, and I am happy that they are able to draw in a steady crowd as the bar is nice, and the brewing equipment makes some good beer. I hope they keep some of the Pilsner and Kölsch's that were great and don't go overboard with only eclectic beers that push out a large segment of drinkers or their friends/family who are with them. There are lots of TV's inside - I didn't go for any football games last year, but maybe that'll change. The patio area is small but has a bunch of picnic tables, it's dog friendly, but there isn't much space for the pooch's. On the weekends, there is a parking lot for the daycare next door that isn't used, so kids can go run around it at least. They have food, but just keep your expectations down - it's a fine if you need a quick bite, or you can get a pizza from Domino's next door and sit outside.Definitely a good spot to hang out!

I get it. You own the place or have friends who own a brewery and want to enjoy the brewery too. You love your cute, sweet children and of course everyone will find them adorable and charming. Why would anyone in their right mind have an issue with your sweet child screaming and running about with the 5 other children you brought with you? Why would anyone think it's nothing but endearing to run around in circles inside and out while mom chases you? Those shrieks? That's just children enjoying their time at a brewery. The 3 tables inside you take up with your backpacks, snacks and toys? Nobody wanted to sit there anyway. The outdoor area? Of course everyone wants to sipa craft beer while you take over the entire patio. I mean, isn't that why they came here? For the LOVE OF GOD, please have some self-awareness and honestly some business sense. At a minimum have an "adult swim" day so adults can enjoy the place sans children. Seriously.

One of my favorite watering holes. Great outdoors, many different beers on tap. But honestly, my favorite part is the people. Everyone I've had interactions with have been pleasant as a standard. Most have been above and beyond. Great place to chill with friends and just enjoy a cold one...or two.

This place has been open just 5wks and is the newest edition to Fort Mill's burgeoning craft beer scene. They are a microbrewery, so they are currently serving direct from the tanks, and you can really taste the freshness of their beers.Ben, behind the bar, was absolutely awesome! Since they aren't currently doing flights, he let me do a sample of their full lineup. I greatly appreciated this as while all their beers were good, I would not want to go in a full pour or even half pour on a couple. I always appreciate a place that supports samples when flights are not an option. My stand out favs here were the Kolsch & the West Coast IPA. Cute space with ample parking (with overflow in the adjacent Wells Fargo lot). Inside bar seating, tables, and an outside patio. Super chill and laid back vibe in both the atmosphere and staff. One thing to note here: they only accept credit cards at this time.

Welcome to Fort Mill 1873 Brewing.Today was the grand opening of Fort Mill's newest brewery. There are at least 2 more local breweries slated to open in the coming weeks so the competition is heating up.You would think that for a Grand Opening event there would be more than two people behind the bar. I stood and I waited, then someone left and I sat and I waited. Then the bartender ignored me twice and asked people who were standing behind me if he could help them.I didn't want to be rude... it was their first day. Then he said 'OK, who is next', he was standing right in front of me.Then he said 'sorry, I'm not at my best today, I'm the Assistant Brewer'.I had the 1873 Wheat which was OK.The place was very busy, the parking lot was full.I was there at 4p and they opened at 3p.People were standing 3 deep at the bar trying to get a beer. There was a food truck, but when I left at 415p, they were still not open. It's a nice open and airy space with a large nice bar and several tall tables lining the wall. There are several 4 spot tables in the center floor. There were also 4 picnic tables outside. They advertise as being 'pet friendly'.I noticed they had 3 different choices of wine if beer is not your pick. They don't serve food but they do have pretzels. They had several large HD TV's.There is free parking but not very much was available as the lot is also used by several other business' in the same center..I hope they up their game as there is a lot of competition for the beer biz in Fort Mill.
