A big beautiful park on the Swamp Rabbit Trail with loads of green space, picnic tables, walking/running/cycling trail. Unfortunately, most of the big trees were cut down so they've got a few spindly ones that don't provide anywhere near enough shade. It's a beautiful place when the weather is cool..

October 29, 2023WOW!! Greenville has one of the nicest parks I've ever seen! This large park is on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and only a few miles from downtown. This park has it all! Wide, level trails for walkers, bikers and skateboarders. Many open grassy areas for picnics, parties, frisbee throwers. A children's playground, sensory park, splash pad. Lots of statues and covered tables and spotless restrooms. There's even rents spots, businesses, bars and restaurants inside the park! If I lived in Greenville, you would find me at this park every week. Bravo Greenville - you did good!

We love this park so much! Huge and so much to do! With the commons being right next door, there is plenty to eat and drink. The playground here is so clean and spread out for all ages. We also love going to the splash pad. There is a nice patch for walking or biking or whatever you want to do and it feels very safe. Parking was never an issue for us. We love coming early in the morning before it gets crowded.

This park is awesome! It's huge, it's well-maintained, there's something for everyone here. It is a model park that every city should have! Restaurants and coffee are also walking distance. What a great spot! Kudos to the creators of this place.

I finally got to visit Unity Park today and did not realize that it was located adjacent to The Commons which I first visited years ago from a Yelp event. It's also runs parallel to the Swamp Rabbit Trail that my family and I would ride our bikes from downtown Greenville to Furman University on the weekends when the kiddos were young (many many many trips around the sun). So it's close to AJ Whittenberg Elementary School and the Kroc Center. It is truly an open outdoor space. Perfect for young children to play, older children, teens, adults to go bicycling or walking which I saw plenty. Playground has different levels and elevations. There are beautiful slides that seem to be part of the landscape, and water fountains that spring upward to the delight of children and their parents, especially on warm/hot days. There are also restrooms which I did not check out but located near the playground, and walkway/sidewalk along the entire perimeter to even the brightly colored Unity sign. There are also ample benches. What also impressed me is the well thought-out location. Being right adjacent to the Swamp Rabbit Trail and the AJ Whittenberg Elementary School, Kroc Center and The Commons. For those that aren't familiar with The Commons, it is one large location space with multiple food/beverage small businesses do what an ideal place to enjoy beautiful outdoor and food and/or drinks. The Prisma Welcome Center anchors closest to the Unity Park and also has restrooms. There are beautiful paintings inside and the large conference room seemed to have completed a large meeting before I arrived. A staff told me there will be more changes to the interior that may include a gift shop in the future. There are businesses in that area too including Carolina Triathlon so those training on running or cycling can use the trail to get mileage in too. And I'm sure nearby Kroc Center pool have swimmers! I've always wondered how the small businesses at The Commons attracted enough people and the pandemic didn't help HOWEVER with this Unity Park, what an ideal location so hopefully this will help the business owners. I didn't check but someone with an ice cream/gelato or smoothie would do well here for those wanting a cool sweet treat. There were adult beverage places and coffee places here. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor welcomes dogs and their lovers/owners. There are ample parking space. You can even walk across a foot bridge to get the the other businesses like where Soul Yoga is located. They did a fabulous job combining all of these so you can park once and walk/ride. This explains why it's #YeahThatGreenville

I am OBSESSED with the city of Greenville's latest development, Unity park. As a an avid park-goer, I am qualified to say this place has it all! The fully paved walkways are relatively flat and perfect for rollerblading, safe kiddo biking, and handicap accessibility. The Swamp Rabbit Trail runs through the park, making it the perfect spot to have a picnic while exploring the trail. Amenities include covered picnic tables and a large playground area, complete with a splash pad for kiddos to cool off on hot days. There is no contesting that this is the best park in Greenville. I'm looking forward to the future completion of the lookout tower for 360 views of the city!

What a great space! We used to live in the neighborhood and we could have never imagined what it has become. The green space alone is expansive and ideal for playing games, picnicking, or just lounging under one of the large trees. The splash pads and the playgrounds are awesome (aside from needing more shade). My grandchildren love sliding down the Astroturf hills, as do so many other kids. It truly is a space for everyone and I love seeing so many people from different walks of life enjoying it. A true gem in Greenville!

We came here to get a bite at The Commons and surprisingly, discovered there was a park - Unity Park - right next to the eatery. Apparently, the playground had just recently opened and it was a great experience. The play area was covered with turf and had many natural wood elements for the kids to play on. There was a water fountain play area for the kids to splash (and given the humidity, it was well received). Bathrooms were right next to the playground and were clean! People were out walking their dogs, rollerblading, riding bikes, or just enjoying the weather. There are shaded picnic tables available as well. This was an unexpected surprise in downtown Greenville and we look forward to returning.

My wife and our pregnant daughter visited this park today. There were no umbrellas out even though the stands for them were there. The heat was exhausting for them and others visiting the park. For all the money spent on that park you would think the umbrellas would have been placed. and yes we had been there before when there were umbrellas present so we know they have them. Maybe they just now use them for photo ops.
