Sweet red wine. Tomato basil cheese. Fire place and a Christmas tree plus snow on the ground. It doesn't get better than this.

We've gone to Twisted Vine Winery multiple times now since my last review and just wanted to update my review. We recently came here for a wine flight and cider flight. It was at the end of the day, so they weren't very busy, but still received excellent service.Wine Flight:SOS - This is a white sangria wine. We've had this one before and it was very good, definitely sweet.Bodacious - This is a peach wine, which was new to us. It was very good, very peachy. Definitely would rank this one as one of my favorite peach wines.Summertime Pink - This was a watermelon and strawberry blend. I could taste the watermelon more, but others in my group could taste the strawberry more.Slushy of the day - summer sangria which is a blend of raspberry and peaches. Strong on the raspberry, but I still enjoyed it.Cider Flight included Pineapple, Blackberry, Peach, and Blood Orange. They always have four on tap at a time. We love their ciders and something we come for every time. We normally get growler refills, but they just started to can their ciders. They have started with peach and blackberry. I appreciate the cans since the growlers are too much to drink at times, even when they did the larger bottles as well. This allows me to have a little bit at a time. So I look forward to them doing more flavors in cans.Ciders - In order of how we liked them from most to least - but note we love all of them as they are sweet ciders:CranberryPeachBlackberryBlueberryBlood OrangePineappleHighly recommend Twisted Vine if you are in the area for their wines or ciders.PS - they are dog friendly. Friendly to us as well. :)

Great place for a nice afternoon of food and drink. We enjoyed the wine, Malbec was my favorite wine. We brought a few bottles home. Everyone was friendly and helpful. JB's Rolling Bistro had great food too, we tried the lobster hush puppies and they where great. The live music was on point as well.

Beautiful venue in the middle of a residential space. Relaxing atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. The wine tasting was a wonderful experience. They have both dry and sweet wines. The service was prompt and professional.

Nita picked the summer hits sample which consisted of 4 preselected wines, Summer Sangria, Beachin Good Time, Front Porch Zen and a slushy of the day which was blackberry.Tom, the owner, approach our table and began to explain to Nita her selections and how wine tasting worked. He explained that you had to have at least two drinks to capture the essence of the wine. The first taste was to get your mouth acclimated to the pH levels and acidity of the selection. The second was for the flavor and the taste. I went through each one of her selections getting a sense of the flavoring through the bouquet it provided. You could tell the ingredients clearly in each one of the selections represented. Beaching Good Time would be an excellent selection for someone who likes pina-coladas. Out of the four in the summer hits collection the blackberry wine slushy was our pick, but Nita didn't stop there. After discussing it with Tom, he provided a few other much smaller samplings just to give her an idea of the flavor and the taste of Who's Your Daddy and Cindy's Select.Tom checked back with us and we discuss with him our thoughts about the samplings that we tried. Then he began to explain about the hard ciders that they also carry, one was blueberry the other was pineapple. The pineapple hard cider was a hit with us.This location would make a great simple drink stop for a first date, special occasion, or wine time with some friends. The staff were already set up for their painting and wine tasting that began at 6 o'clock Thursday evening.

This was a nice stop on the way to Boone. It is hidden off of several back roads nestled in the beautiful, calming countryside. The owner and her husband built the winery/vineyard themselves and the inside is decorated remarkably well. It smells brand new inside, like fresh wood. There is a new addition in the back with a fireplace for when it gets chilly. They have a large variety of wines and offer a tasting with a free glass included. They have a unique, jalapeno cooking wine that is so delicious. Also, one of my favorites was the pink lemonade. It was sweet, but not as much as you would think, making it a perfect choice. They have meats and cheeses to snack on as well. There is an outside patio that overlooks the exquisite scenery. I will come back during the fall, I'm sure that it is just wonderful at that time of year as well.
