Towne Tavern at Indian Land

I had heard such good things aboutTown Tavern but was nothing but disappointed. The issues were only with the food and not the wait staff. The wait staff were extremely friendly and apologetic. They looked at the food and even agreed it should not have been sent out to our table. Ordered the tenders with chips and the tenders were burnt. They also tasted like they had been cooked in old burnt oil. The chips came out in a basket and were crumbles like they came from the very bottom of a potato chip bag. I don't need to give more details - it was just a bad experience. I was super excited about eating here- what a disappointment.

The environment is family friendly, at least around dinner timeWhen we went. Staff is friendly but they are understaffed! There was one person waiting tables for the entire floor on a Saturday night. Lots of tvs and cool stuff to check out on the walls. My potato skins were okay, nothing a little table salt and pepper couldn't fix. They serve Pepsi products only.

We have stayed away for quite a time, like three years, because their service was horrible and the food inconsistent. Friends told us that management changed and that it had improved, so we checked it out ourselves for dinner.Same menu, which I think pretty decent.Fish and chips is excellent and you get two whopping big fillets and choice if two sides ($15.99). Nice salad and fries and slaw. I know that is three but I wanted a salad. Wife had a Cobb salad ($11.99) which she liked with their excellent ranch dressing. The bar remains the focal point, which distracts the wait staff, but they get it done. Kitchen does a good job. And the floors are clean...much better than under previous management. Worth a try.

It's a little spot to have some drinks but better places in the area. Ordered a burger medium and it was well over done, I can't imagine what a well done burger comes out as because this one was completely black. Not a lot on tap and liquor choices are sparse. Wouldn't eat here again.

Displaced by Helene and ate here every night. Good solid food, friendly staff and they even had a Bingo night. Sit outside in the springy seats and enjoy a nice night. Probably never be back in this area again but if I am I will come back. Thanks for serving us in need

New management? Guess that means horrible service, no Prosecco for mimosas back to back Sundays, and they "had" a $.75 wing special last week that suddenly disappeared this week. Sat in the bar area for 10+ minutes as servers walked all around us, not even acknowledging us. Ultimately we walked out... never to return. Good luck "new management".

The fish sandwich is really good. The hand cut fries are probably the worst I had. Over cooked and mushy. How do you even accomplish that? Is the oil the wrong temp. The service is good. Got the tots and they are better but have a really greasy taste. It has to be the oil is old a hell!!

This place is terrible. Hanging up Bills and Sabres jerseys while having the worst wings and a knockoff beef on weck is something. The service stinks, but I couldn't get over the rubbery roast beef on a bun with sprinkled caraway salt. This place is garbage

placed a pick-up order and asked for fries and chips with our wings and got double fries. This is not the first time this has happened, previously i had placed another order and asked for the same thing with the wings which was fries and chips and got double chips. Furthermore they said the order would be ready in thirteen minutes and i didn't end up getting the order until 30 mins later so honestly im just disappointed. I also payed extra to get celery and they didn't give me that either.

Restaurant was full when we arrived. We were told a 30 min. wait. We asked if we could get a drink and sit outside and were told we could but they could not guarantee table service outside. We went to the bar to get our drinks and sat outside. Meanwhile the table beside us received table service for their drinks several times and we were ignored by the waiter. We were finally seated inside 45 min. later. We ended up waiting an additional 45 min. for our food after ordering, and the dining room was empty by that point, but the party room was full and that seemed to be their priority. We asked to speak to the manager and she didn't seem to care and was somewhat rude. They also had a sign in the restaurant a couple weeks ago claiming that they had 1/2 price wings and $2 domestics "every day", which drew us in, but it has since been removed. We really like the wings and fries (although chicken tenders are terrible) but we won't be back to this location, or any location with the same management....very disappointing customer service.
