I am a resident in Gaston County, I definitely will say that this is the best Caribbean spot in Gaston County. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two lovely ladies. They walked through the entire menu with me, and gave me their recommendations. I have tried the oxtail, jerk chicken and curry goat entrees - they were delicious, the size of the meals are fair for the prices they charge. My fourth time visiting I did get the oxtail pasta (like a version of Rasta pasta), it was not my favorite. I definitely recommend the regular entrees with the rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The restaurant is a small spot, very clean and smells so good as soon as you walk in. When I drive up and park it feels like an actual food spot you would go to in Jamaica. This place is very authentic, so glad I drove by and saw it on Wilkinson.Thank you to the lovely ladies there, they immediately felt like family every time I walk in. I will be back soon to get another plate.

Top Taste Grill located at 5945 Wilkinson Blvd, Belmont, NC 28012.The Red beans and rice were really good. Just needed a pinch of salt. This was the first time I tasted yams like theirs. They had kind of a Hawaiian sweet taste to it. They weren't drowned in syrup and brown sugar. In other words they were really really good. Now for the main attraction, the jerk season. The chicken was the perfect blend of jerk seasoning and tenderized meat. My order came with a cup of there jerk sauce. I poured it on the rice and beans and the jerk chicken and my taste buds exploded. I will most definitely return to this establishment. #GratuityAdded #TopTasteGrill #instafood #JamaicanEats #charlottesgotalot #foodlover #foodblogger #GastonEats #GastoniaEats #BelmontEats #foodiesofinstagram #CLTNYE #supportlocal #foodiesofclt #charlottefood #cltfoodies #BelmontGotALot #jerkchicken #followforafollow #JamaicanCulture #charlottesgotalot #neweats #exploreclt #cltfoodies #eatdrinkclt #goodeats #exploregastoncounty #CaribbeanFood

The oxtails are good but they dont have anything on carribean hut because those oxtails fall off the bone but there oxtails are good as well and a nice size, the rice was dry and the macoroni is never good from any jamacian spot/they should just stop selling macoroni all together, there greens are the bomb and they have them everyday of the week, you don't even need hotsauce or vinegar for them which is a plus because carribean only has cabbage for the week. Carribean cost less as far as sorrell they are 1 dollar cheaper and have a way more variety of drinks like pineapple ginger for your throat and then they also have desserts, the strawberry cake is a hard pass its dry but the strawberry pudding is great it comes frozen and you have to wait for it to thaw but its worth the wait the banana pudding its good but the strawberry is my favorite, again for 5.00 i dont recommend the strawberry cake but the other two are a yes. The place us nice and clean and has this nice ambience about it and the service is great, fast and friendly. I'll continue to support them and carribean because they both have great service with a clean enviroment. I love seeing ppl thrive in businesses and thats why a honest review is a must not to bring anyone down but to lift them up and help the businesses get better if they take constructive advice. Some do and some do not. They have mild beef patties which is a must because carribean only has hot and they are hot i cant eat them at all. So between both they have different varieties of things which a plus.......Love, light and blessings.

Hi to anyone who reads this! I rarely make the effort to write a review but because I am so very happy with the food I got for lunch today from Top-Taste Grill I am doing it! I ordered the Jerk Chicken with sides of yams and cabbage and it was Great! The girl at the counter, I think her name is Tenn, was very friendly with a nice smile helped me decide. Without doubt I am going back and will be telling friends! Next time I think I am going to get the smoked ribs. Maybe plan on takeout because not much space inside to sit but for me that's what I wanted anyway. It looks like they may be planning for an outside sitting area. For me it was lunch and the order was quick and it was Great!! (:Mike
