Tony’s Pizza & Subs

Great food every time. Calzones are my favorite. Very friendly staff. Going to try the buffalo chicken pizza tonight.

I wanted to like this place. I ordered based on the online menu which apparently was updated but not online. The restaurant however would not correct this so I didn't even get to try the pizza. Customer service could be much, much better as I just threw away the $25 I spent on a pizza that I could not eat.

Tony's Pizza & Subs is a little place inside a very small strip mall a little north of town. The food is made in order but they are fast. First off, pizza: New York style crust, fully cooked and the crust has a very good taste. The toppings were generous and fresh. This pizza really hit the spot. Second, subs: The Italian had good meat and lots of crunchy veggies. The Chicken Parm had tasty marinara, generous chunks of chicken, and so much cheese! Both were toasted and served warm. The subs aren't "foot long" but actually closer to an appropriate serving size. We were full & satisfied, but not overly stuffed. We are very happy with the food and service and recommend Tony's.

Wasn't impressed when it first opened up and figured my family could try it again since we noticed it was under new management. Just to state, I've had top notch pizza from CT and NY so it could be just me. It seems like the ingredients are subpar. The crust to me and my wife wasn't pleasant. The sauce was ok but had a genetic taste and the cheese was a bit tough. One of our pizzas was missing toppings and the employee who answered the phone didn't say much but after several seconds the manager came on, and was polite and offered a reasonable solution. We also ordered wings. There's no option online for dipping sauce when you place orders online when ordering the wings. We got the hot wings and they weren't hot at all but they were nice sized wings. The stuffed three cheese bread was really the only thing we enjoyed. It had more cheese than expected and the only thing on the menu that was really good. Even though we weren't fans of the pizza, the manger was fair. The communication could've been better and I don't know why the pizza didn't taste great but maybe they should source better ingredients.

Tony's changed hands and we now have a great pizza available in our neighborhood. Service has been upgraded as well.

I've been to Tony's (Galleria and Ballantyne) about 10 times since last year- never disappointed. Their NY style pizza is very good. But their secret weapons are their hot subs. The chicken parm (my favorite), cheesesteak, and meatball are all excellent. They all come on a perfectly toasted Italian roll that's slightly crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. Chicken is tender inside, crunchy outside. Steak is tender and tasty. Meatballs are hand made and great. Just the right amount of cheese/sauce on each. Service is always friendly and very good. Place has a homey feel. I'll never get sick of Tony's!
