TIN Kitchen

This is the best taco food truck in the Charlotte area! We used Tin Kitchen to cater a birthday party and it was a huge success! We had about 30 people at the party and every single person was raving at the amazing tacos. Their pork belly tacos were my favorite! I also tried their black bean nachos and they were so good! Their spicy salsa roja is absolutely top tier. I loved that they were able to pull right up to the house that we were having the party at and were very efficient and quick in taking everyone's orders. I would highly recommended them for any party. Everyone was so nice and super accommodating.

We first experienced Tin Kitchen at a food truck event in Charlotte. It was amazing!! THEN they just catered a wedding we went to in Gastonia and OH MY GOSH what an incredible experience we had with them. The food from appetizers to main course were TOP NOTCH but I have to say the servers were the stars of the show. They were courteous, engaging and friendly and honestly a joy!! I hope they see this review and pat themselves on the back for being outstanding human beings who take pride in their work!!

I tried this food truck when they were at a local taproom. The guys working were great and offered me some suggestions. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the food. I ordered one of their special sliders which was alright. The shrimp taco was so-so and I was not a fan of the Al pastor (which is usually my favorite).

Pictured:- BBQ Beef Brisket w Chipotle Slaw (7/10) - Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla (6.5/10) Likes:- Great flavor on the bbq and very very tender. - Good value and unique flavors combos! Dislikes: - The BBQ Taco was spicy, and I'm not too sure about spicy barbecue. - The quesadilla needed some sauce on the inside, it was a little dry. Also had a few too many tomatoes! Always great to try an OG food truck, and I would definitely like to try a couple more things from Tin Kitchen! For now, the truck earns a 3.4 star rating because the food is great for a food truck, but could be better!

This food truck is great! The food is top notch and always fresh! Their menu has a variety of options that can work for everyone and all types of diets - tacos, sliders, nachos, etc.They are located at various breweries, so the foods go perfect with beer/drinks! They are always very helpful in making food choices. They also accept cash and card, which is super convenient nowadays! If you see them at a brewery near you, try them out!

Portion sizes are small for the price. Food takes 15 minutes to come out. We tried the Chipotle chicken quesadilla, pork carnitas quesadilla, and chips and salsa. Each quesadilla is $7.50 for three triangles and a side of sou. The chipotle chicken was better than the pork carnitas. Chips and salsa were ok. They ran out of their usual salsa so they substituted with a green salsa.

As a venue owner it is so hard to find reliable, GOOD quality caterers. Not only is TIN kitchens menus always incredible, but their staff is top notch. They leave our prep area cleaner and more organized than when they arrived , treat fellow vendors and guests with such grace and are always a pleasure to be around! When our venue was destroyed four days before our wedding, Diana and her team stepped up to ensure we had delicious food for our reception. They worked with us to make it perfect and as stress free as possible in our situation. We were so very blessed to have them as our vendor for our wedding. They delivered delicious food and made everything come together in 4 days! I highly recommend this team for any event!

Terrible customer service. If you find them at an event you may want to go to another vendor. Their menu looks ok but that really doesn't matter if they run out of what you want and then can't or chose not to make it right.This was my first and last time ordering from this food truck. We were at an event and standing in a very long line on a 90+ degree day. After waiting in line for at least 30 minutes, the owner marked an entire section of items off the menu. I can understand that. It was busy. This is where I have an issue with them and their lack of care for their customers. When I got to the front I ordered 2 tacos (chicken and vegetarian) since what I originally wanted was no longer available. A minute later while I was waiting for the food, the woman who took my order called me back and said they were out of chicken. Seriously! Ok, well the only other item they had left that I could eat was a kids quesadilla. I asked if she could just substitute the kids quesadilla ($6) for the taco ($5)...and she replied that would be extra. WTF!! After a customer stood in that long line for nearly an hour by that time in 90 degree heat to buy from you, you couldn't just make a simple substitution and keep a customer happy!? SERIOUSLY!! You want to charge extra for a 1 dollar difference. That was stupid! I canceled the entire order. I own my own business and I know that you should give a damn about your customers. There were other food truck options available and next time I'll be sure to choose one of them instead.

Tin Kitchen is the #1 thing still talked about to this day from our wedding in September 2023! Everyone LOVED the food truck & raved about the sliders, but the tacos were also very enjoyed. They were easy to work with, made it quickly through our 100+ people wedding, & transitioned quickly as our guest count varied as we got closer to the big day. Not to mention AFFORDABLE - a rare occurrence these days for catering! I cannot recommend them enough and their truck makes for a classy but fun backdrop.
