Thomas Street Tavern

Craving something greasy and satisfying, we decided to hit up Thomas Street Tavern for dinner. I ordered the cheeseburger, and my boyfriend got the meatball sub. I made the mistake of taking a bite of his sub first--and WOW, it almost ruined my appetite for the burger!The meatball sub was amazing--the bread was perfectly toasted, the meatballs were super tender, the sauce was flavorful, and it was loaded with cheese. Have been wanting to try this place out because I heard they have good turkey burgers. To turn around and not even order the turkey burger ‍. Decided to order the chicken Philly cheesesteak, which they messed up my order and gave me beef instead of chicken. Had to send that back and wait another 20-25min for the chicken. Our waitress was generous to give us more fries for the long wait. Also as happy to have ate the salad prior or I would of been hangry haha. Our waitress was very friend. Wish I could remember her name because she was very sweet. If you go, ask for the waitress that's 4'11. Bet she's that only one that's that height working there haha. The restaurant itself was nice and plenty of room to move around. Also looked like they had an upstairs patio for people to chill. And a patio out front for seating. There was also people walking in with instruments, so they might have a lose band that plays there sometimes. Recommended you try them out!

Old school Charlotte pub in Plaza Midwood. Menu is full of sandwiches and sides at affordable prices. The okra is off the chain good and the nachos are a staple. The place has a great atmosphere if you like low key. Good for kids too with bar games like shuffleboard and billiards.

First time here and I came for lunch. The service was horrible. The dude seemed like he was having a rough morning. I got a reuben sandwich with fries. The fries was overcooked and had no salt. The reuben was decent but I would say the drinks are much better than the food. $11 for a gin and tonic and it was strong :) The crowd was working daddies on a Wednesday afternoon. The ambiance is relax and chill.

Been going to Thomas Street for 10+ years and always have a good time here. It's such a staple in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. The drinks are reasonable priced and the food is always on point. Really good bar food! The games in the back are fun and you can always find someone playing ping pong! The bartenders are attentive and the crowd is mostly chill.

$2 pbr and solid service and great atmosphere. If you're a dive bar fan this is a great spot.

This place has been a second home for years. All the staff treats you like family! The food speaks for itself, they run out of ribs almost every Sunday! Ellen is always bringing her A game, even if it means climbing a ladder to clean the display bottles and somehow remains to keep her hair flawless and a smile on her face! I love my T Street Family and Curtis too!!

The bartender, Curtis, who has waited on me on multiple occasions, has given exceptional customer service to me and to any friends I bring in to Thomas Street. I appreciate a great bartender that makes everyone feel welcome.

While waiting for some church friends, ordered a glass of red wine. In their kindness, since there was little left in the bottle they gave me the generous glass along with the bottle ~half glass remaining in it. Paid for it and was pleasantly surprised. It was, according to the older bartender "It is OUR best bottle of wine, though not THE best bottle of wine" ;-)Had taken a sip of the good wine when my church friends arrived https://www.reschurchclt.org/ourstory Went over to their table along with the glass and bottle. Best Place to grab a bite to eat and sit outside on the spacious patio! Really great atmosphere with many fun games.
