A fun spot! A Dog friendly bar that's big and separated into off leash and on leash. Volleyball courts separate and tall picnic tables to sit at and laugh at all the cute dogs. I ordered a taco, I like how you can pick chicken or beef then a flavor! I had the teriyaki and it was delicious but for $5 I'm not sure it's worth it, should be $3.50. The beer bucket of miller lite was $18 for 5 beers which is $3.60 each but when I ordered one it was $3.50 so I thought a bucket was supposed to be a better deal typically lol so I guess I'll be ordering one at a time now!?

Loved this dog bar experience! We went on a dreary Sunday morning for brunch. We decided last minute to bring our Cavapoo and had never been before so he wasn't registered. It said online it could take a couple days to get approved , but we had no problems just bringing him and his vaccinations. They seem strict about seeing vaccination history so I knew he would be safe and not get sick from other dogs! The check in process was quick and easy!Since it was not the best weather wise, it was only us and one other group there, but a friend said it does get crowded but never too crowded! They had a ton of picnic tables outside and beach volleyball courts. They have 2 sections outside, one is off leash and one is on leash. Inside is also on leash, so some options there! The bar is accessible no matter what section you are in, and they had a full bar. There were also some TVs inside with sports on. The facility seemed SO clean for a dog bar, I was impressed by that. The bartenders were also SO nice asking about our dog and his breed and making sure we had everything we needed. The facility seemed secure with lots of doors and magnetic locks so no dogs could escape. They did have brunch and it was delicious!!! I got the avacado toast. The egg was a tad salty but still very good! I would definitely go back!

Umm we were excited to try this place cause the reviews. Look i get people love their dogs, i love mine as well. But i just think it's uncomfortable sometimes when your sitting eating your food and you look to your right and there's poop on the ground and you look to your left and see dogs humping lol. We had the wings and nachos, meh they aren't that great. Wings had good flavor, nachos could've used something to make them special. But i do think that if you love hanging out with your dog and having your dog be social it's a great place. Love the volleyball courts too.

Lots of dogs using cement as their bathroom and owners not cleaning it up promptly. Loud music and no open vball courts. Kitchen was also closed when we got there and they had us order from the fast food place across the street.

Fantastic! Clean safe area for the pups to play off leash, an on leash area as well and on leash indoor area. The people are great, the Bark Rangers keep the place clean and the ruckus to a minimum. The beer selection is large, the bourbon flights on Wednesday are fun and tasty. We had a birthday party for our little pup and everyone had a great time and made the day so much fun. Food trucks for people snacks.Only game in town.

I've been to a lot of dog bars in Charlotte so when I heard Thirsty Dog was coming to Belmont, I was pumped. There was some controversy around their membership pricing when they first announced (over $100 for an annual membership) and I was a bit put off by that. While they did drop the membership, I'm still unclear on exactly what it pays for, so we opted for a day pass which was $5 per dog and $1 per human. The bar selection was great and the inside decor was super fun, there was a sushi making class going on. I, personally wouldn't want to attend a food making class with so much dog hair floating around- especially knowing how much of my own dog's hair floats wherever we go, but to each their own. What bothered me about Thirsty Dog was the lack of focus on the dogs. The play area was very small and became quickly crowded with all of the dogs playing. They didn't have dog monitors making sure rules were being followed and safety measures were being taken. For a dog bar that requires a membership fee, I'd hope that those funds would be used for dog-related amenities however there is a massive sand volleyball court being installed right now, which makes me wonder if Thirsty Dog is going to stay a true "dog bar" or if its focus will be shifted elsewhere.
