Came here for the first time during the HUGE SNOW storm This place is sweet!Great fish and chips. Cut open like butter They also had halibut on the menu which i hadn't seen online so i assume rotating fresh fishThe fries were greatWife had the salad with fried goat cheese and loved itWine selection was phenomenal alsoLook forward to trying more!

The Wine Shop never disappoints. I am for grateful to have a restaurant like this in the area. We have a lack of options in Lake Wylie, and in a short 10-15 minute drive I can be enjoying great food, wine and service. Both lunch and dinner are wonderful; we have always had very attentive waitstaff. The specials are always changing and even though the menu is extensive, it is great to have additional options. I especially love the quiche, salads, and the flatbreads. I cannot say enough positive things about this place; please visit if you haven't already!

This place is an absolute hidden gem! I'm baffled that it only has a 3.7 rating on Yelp. I first visited with my mom during the week for a few glasses of wine, and their selection was fantastic. Fast forward to now, I brought my husband here for dinner, and it was just as impressive. We started with the fried green tomatoes, which were super fresh. Both of us ordered pasta, and they were to die for. I had the wild mushroom pasta with blackened chicken, and my husband had the primavera pasta with blackened shrimp--honestly, I can't decide which one was better! We also tried two different glasses of wine. The Paul & Remy Tempranillo was hands down the best, but if you're into white wine, the Ethereo Albariño is a pleasant surprise. Both are from Spain and are excellent choices.We'll definitely be back with friends and family!

Ok, The Wine Shop suffers from typical Yelp inflation where the atmosphere conflates the experience with the food. The servers are knowledgeable about their wines, huge plus. It is located in a hreat spot with a neighborly feel and ambiance. The food. It's ok. It is reasonably priced. But there is a lack of seasoning that needs to start at base sauces and before meats meet heat. Epic failure in serving store bought waxy baby carrots with the hummus plate, which is the point. It is the little things such as using sourced carrots, peeling them, cutting into your own julienne batons. The wine selection and staff are great. It is very hard to get and retain creative chefs that can prepare soo many options.
