We stopped on the way back from Ashville into Winston Salem and it was easy enough to find the winery building, but I was a little confused on the photos of the outside, the tasting room is in the big house. It was massive inside and there was plenty of seating and we found more outside. It was pretty slow so there was only a few other people there. The woman who helped us was very knowledgeable about the winery, beers and processes of making both. We did a tasting of both beers and wines and came away with a few bottles. We also visited the animals outback of the winery. I would definitely recommend coming here.

We love Catawba Farms. The wine has a distinctive California flair. The crafted beer is great. And the tranquil setting is lovely. It's so nice to sit outside, ( or inside by the fire), take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy a few sips from their very good wine or beer selection. We miss you and hope you'll be opening again soon.

For a day out enjoying wine, animals, and leisure, Catawba Farms is a pretty great spot. The large farm style tasting room grants access to a large assortment of wines ranging from dry to sweet. With your wine of choice you can sit at one of the many options for indoor or outdoor seating, stroll the grounds admiring the rustic farm and animals, or head over to the food truck.

Stopped in for their fall fest, this is a super cute place with lots of space! They had a book fair in the barn with beers on tap. We went inside to the winery and it was cozy and had lots of space to sit and hang out. The wine and beer tastings were great, tried the wine slushie too (excellent) and the kombucha (Lenny Boy). The service was friendly and the gentleman playing live music was an added bonus! Ordered bbq from Trey's food truck- smoked pulled pork, homemade potato salad and cole slaw- enough for 2 to share and delicious!!! Walked around outside and saw donkeys, pigs, peacocks. Will most definitely come here again, could have stayed and enjoyed all day!

3*= A-OK1st time here. Came on a day where it was partly cloudy. Social distancing was in effect and masks were worn. The customer service was very accommodating. They sell a variety of wines. I almost purchased a bottle but I will save that for another visit. My husband and I had lunch. They have great burgers with quality toppings. I had a wine slushie and my husband had a draft beer. We ate outside and tables were way far apart from each other. This is a pet and child friendly winery. They do have animals that may peak kids interest but I did not see them. If you are looking for a place to relax that is off the beaten path, you will enjoy it here!

Went here for the first time today for their free wine tasting of new releases. What a charming place! Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable! The wines were yummy too. My fave was the peach but I'm more partial to sweet wines and most of theirs are dry or semi dry but all are good nonetheless. The animals on the farm are as sweet as can be. Beautiful place and I will definitely be back!

Catawba farms was a quaint and overall pleasant experience. I will say that prior to arrival, I spent quite a bit of time trying to scheduled a group of 12 for a wine tasting. I called over and over and kept being told I would get a call back from the owner. Then when I put a message on the Facebook page the day before the event in a last ditched effort, I got the 'why are you putting us on blast' treatment. Even though I was pretty polite about it. The owner who gave the wine tasting and who I also talked to on the phone was a little 'eeyore' like and not the most upbeat during our tasting. The wines were a mixed variety. Some were delicious (I loved the cabernet) and some were not very enjoyable at all. They did have muscadine wines which is a little off the beaten path and added to the variety of the spread. Alot of the ladies liked the peach flavored wine and also the puleezling (reisling). The farm area was adorable. There were chickens, pigs, and horses. The cover patio area was very tasteful and rustic chic. I'd definitely recommend this place for special events and live music if you are local to the area. The other staff is very pleasant. Much more so then the owner in my opinion. My group did have a good time and enjoyed their souvenir wine glasses very much.

This little farm winery/brewery was simply amazing! I am from a small town and currently living in mooresville-which is somewhat a city to me...this place was so nice to visit. At the time we went: They brew 6 beers on site & had May of wines to choose from, along with 2 slushie wines! PLENTY OF SEATING! Inside and outside! Inside the tasting area was very elegant for farm setting then outside was just your traditional farm area with a nice deck to sit on and enjoy! Games are offered for guest.Bathrooms were CLEAN!Food truck on site-did not try the food though as we ate prior to our visit. We did flight testing of each beer and each was amazing! I also had the peach wine slushie which was delicious! We didn't do the wine tasting but did purchase a bottle to take home! We ventured and saw the farm animals...peacocks, dogs, pigs, donkeys, chickens, ducks, rabbits, horses-all very friendly! Staff was AMAZING so friendly and caring! We will be back! It also is an inn, I can't put my personal experience on that but nice to know!

Wow. This place is amazing. For an up and coming place they are doing a fantastic job. The grounds are stunning and even include rabbits, goats, horses, etc. to visit. Inside are two lovely pups that make you feel like you are having a delicious glass of wine in your own living room. The only thing my living room doesn't have is Michael who was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining! He was a perfect host and we had so much fun talking to him. We didn't try the food but it looked delicious as well. They also offer craft beers which is awesome if you're not a wine drinker. We will be back!

We went on a beautiful Sunday, it wasn't very crowded. The wines were amazing! The farms is so pretty! We enjoyed visiting all the animals. We even took our 13 month old son and he had a blast! The food truck was great! We met one of the owners and he was so nice. He told us all about the animals and showed us around. I am already planning another trip to go in the next few weeks.
