Great vibe for a wine shop! I loved the variety of the wine they have and their prices aren't unreasonable. There are 6-7 wines that you can get a glass of, which are nice! The bartender was super friendly & allowed us to taste a sample before we got a glass. It appeared they had coffee & frozen drinks. We'll have to come back for these. Definitely will become frequent visitors!

Food is served here (I only saw muffins). Wine collection is spectacular and there are a few places to sit in or outside. Service was AMAZING and the woman working really took time into giving an amazing experience. I love the little notes on the bottles... they really put time and effort into both products and experience here. Stop here on your visit to Pinehurst- you won't regret it!

Great selection of wines for a small shop. Services is always great and offer information on the different wines available. Great ambience especially in the hot summer months.

We were here last time we came to Southern Pines and enjoyed it so we stopped back by. Luckily, the same bartender was there and we enjoyed conversing with him. They have a really good selection of wine and if you tell him what you typically like, he'll find one for you. He'll even let you taste it before you commit. This seems to be a local hangout and it's always enjoyable to hang with the locals.

Cute wine shop right in the town of Pinehurst! Great selection of wine and during the day has good coffee. I would've given four or five stars but one Wednesday my friend and I went and the employee asked us to leave forty minutes before the shop closed because she was closing early. She kept coming over to our table and asking if we were almost done and even started to turn off the lights and music before we could finish our glass of wine. She also was on the phone the entire time we were in there. I would've understood if it was a few minutes before close but it was nearly 40 minutes. Will likely give this place another try for a wine night!

Well, was disappointed it wasn't open on Sunday (well yeah, I expect my wine shops to be open for me on Sunday!), and then it was closed on Monday for Columbus Day (drats, Columbus and his men lived on wine and rum, we should have been open to celebrate!). One more chance today, and voila, perfection. The owner is a gem with loads of useful wine knowledge. I saw her published in a number of the local rags with good advice.I came in looking for Sancerre for our home cooked fish dinner. "ah yes, we have that" was her response. Perfect, I'm happy as hell, and now that I have what I want, I'm looking around. A small, but extremely serviceable collection of just about whatever you would want in all price ranges. These are hand picked selections that I know have been tried by the owner, and offered for excellent price to value ratios. Honestly, I think I could come in here and find just about any grape and style I'm looking for, maybe not multiple brands for each, but very solid selections you can't go wrong. Pair the outstanding wine selection with some nicely chilled beers from around the world, and a ton of really cute and useful wine knick knacks, and you've got a The Village Wine Shop. If I had my own store, it would very much look like this. Well done!

Adam likey. Wine shop located on the corner right on the main village street, with a good selection of bottles and accessories inside and a handful of seats at a tasting bar toward the back. I hightailed it for the tasting bar and enjoyed sampling a glass or three. The business owner, Gwen, is amazing and can make pretty much anything happen for you, wine-wise. She also knows the area well and seems to have a lot of repeat local customers, because she knows just about everyone who comes in. If she doesn't know you when you enter, she will by the time you leave, and she also facilitates great group conversations at the tasting bar. Really fun and social place, so if you're inclined to have some wine as part of your Pinehurst trip, you can't beat Village Wine Shop.
