The Valcarol Missions

I was looking to do something different with my boys so we decided to go to Valcarol Missions to save the world! We met Tara who lead us into our mission to find the doctor that could make the antidote to save humanity. If you like puzzles, and you'll have a blast. It's pretty interesting figuring stuff out and when you get stuck, just ask for help and a voice from the sky aka the -masters will give you. Clue to help you over the hurdle. I love the detail in the escape rooms, everything from the glowing letters and numbers to to drop down shelves and drawers that open. This is a Covid safe activity since you are only with your group; I highly recommend Valcarol Missions Scape room in Concord, NC. Thanks Tara for our escape and for helping us save the world!

This was a really cool escape room. We completed the hidden lab mission. They do give unlimited hints so that did help us in getting out of the room in time. We were two adults and 9 teenagers so it was a little chaotic but we liked the technology and screens that were used. It was a mostly linear room which I prefer so you don't have a million codes you need to remember the whole time. Will come again to try out another room for sure.

What an amazing place and the owners are a pleasure! They have only been open a week but they have done a great job! As of now they only have one room open but they are working on adding more rooms. The escape room we did was a water-filtration system that we have to fix to save the city from polluted water. It involves multiple rooms which is so much more fun than just being locked in a single room the entire time. All the decor and props inside have been handmade by the owners themselves which I thought was pretty cool. If you like doing escape rooms, or would like to get started, give this a try.

This was my first escape room, but I really enjoyed it. The experience involved multiple rooms and very cleverly hidden clues. This is a great escape room experience that would be great for date night, or outing with a group of friends. The location makes it even better too. You have the antique store, axe throwing and a couple of breweries at within the same location so you can definitely make a day of it.

What a fun time! Myself and 3 others spent our Saturday night trying to escape the crystal cave mission in concord's BEST escape room.Everything was so high tech and there were no locks and keys we had to keep track of, which is my biggest downfall when competing a room. Everything was entered via iPads on the walls.There was so much detail in the room, which really made the experience great. You could tell a lot of thought and effort went into every aspect of the room.The owner (I think) answered all of our questions and gave us every clue we needed to make it through, without ruining the game. He also took some time after to tell us about how they created the room. Such an awesome time, I would highly recommend! Can't wait to try the next room!

My best friend and I have done over 100 escape rooms across Virginia, North Carolina and in Boston, it really has become our thing. Some of the things I look for in a prime escape room is immersion into the theme, puzzles that make sense, and a fun and friendly staff I can safely tell you Valcarol has created one of my top three escape rooms of all time and is a strong contender for my overall favorite escape room I've ever done. The set design, you can tell, is impeccable. You can see the handcrafted detail that is exceptional. The props, the puzzles, the technology in the room is top notch. The puzzles, albeit some don't come and hit you right in the face of what to do or what to do next, all make sense. The flow of the room is just a good balance of linear and non linear (meaning, you need to do one thing to get to the next puzzle or not) that will keep any size group entertained. It is a bit tight in the first part of the room that I personally wouldn't want more than 4-6, it does open up after a while. And finally the staff, meeting both of them and their friendliness and their ability to pick up on how my friend and I like to do escape rooms and interact with our game master made this experience our favorite in the Charlotte area. They were fun, friendly and engaged in our game which in turn made us more engaged in the room Too long and didn't read the above? Go here. It's worth it. The price is great, the room is great and the staff is greater. It's worth going to the concord area if you are even close to it and I very much highly recommend it

My husband and I have done many escape rooms and this one was the BEST!! We thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and the use of technology. The part we really appreciated is that there were no actual locks to open. The puzzles were fun and even our teen boys had a great time. Will be back again when the new room opens up. Can't wait!!

We traveled back to Charlotte to try the sequel to our favorite (but now retired) room and did 9 others over 2 days. This was easily our favorite of the weekendThe staff clearly have passion for their room and it shows. The puzzles all felt natural and right on theme - no sea of combo-locks and key-locks here. They're also a bunch of fun (both the staff and the room). The sets are beautiful and interactive. Gameplay is non-linear, so our group of 6 had plenty to do the entire time.We will certainly travel back to The Valcarol Missions as they open new rooms!

Such a fun escape room! Very good for family or friend night outs! The rooms were extremely detailed and the clues were brilliant! You can tell the owners put a lot of work into every detail and intricacy! Would recommend to anyone!

Stop what you're doing ... and GO! This place is absolutely amazing!! We've done 100+ rooms, and we loved this one! It's perfect for your first room, or 101st room. The details and theming that have gone into the Crystal Cave are unreal. The puzzles had a mix of everything and were challenging - but the owners were great in nudging you in the right direction. The owners themselves really are what make this room so wonderful - they built everything from the ground up, and their dedication to making this room perfect truly shows. Slightly off the beaten path if you're hunting for something in the Charlotte area - but GO! It was so worth it! Also - there are 2 breweries in the same building that were lovely if you're into doing the craft beer thing. Totally stalking their website for when the next room opens .... cannot wait!!
