The Taproom

Finally found a decent place to spend some time at CLT! Generally not a fan of the airport and always seem to get delayed here (American Airlines...). Not overly crowded, good service, food is decent, nothing special, beers are good. Out of the way in B but worth the walk.

Located in Terminal A around gate A5.There is a "U" shaped bar in the middle of the space, and a fair amount of tables scattered theroughout the space. The beer list is predominantly localish craft beers. The food selection is largely typical pub fare (burgers, flatbreads, wings, etc...).I got a patty melt w/onion rings, and a Sycamore Dark Matter (black lager), the food was pretty good, and the server was great.overall, the place was pretty good, but there are alot of great options at CLT these days.

Closed at noon on a Saturday when hours are supposed to be 5:30 am to 10:00 pm???If I get back here some day and they're actually open, I will write a proper review.

Food was OK - Was in the mood for a salad but the wait staff sucked - they first told me to seat wherever - it wasnt too crowded. So i sat by one of the tables close to the plane watching window... i just got done eating, they asked me to move since the table was for 4 - so i told them - is there anyone waiting - no... they just wanted me to move. I told them you lost a good customer today - my flight was not for next 2-3 hours, there could be more stuff that i would have consumed but the wait staff was too impatient to wait. First time ever at an airport bar, I was told to move.... ridiculous. I come to CLT often for business, the Tap Room is Tapped out for me.

For airport bar it is really gooood. The music is not too loud, bar has plenty of seating which is great for lone travelers. Drinks are good, nice selection of beers & other stuff. Food arrived very fast & was tasty. Bartender was attentive & kind.

I think this is the best restaurant to stop at in the airport: everything was delicious and service was great.

For an airport restaurant, the food was exceptionally good. And service was really fast. I was actually surprised! The waitress we had was excellent, she was pleasant, she was efficient, she had recommendations, etc. I was really surprised at the level of service. Of course the ambience is what you would expect in a busy HUB. It's extremely loud there are televisions blaring with different sporting events and people are making new friends. It's very lively. lol If you're stuck at the airport and there's a Taproom available you should stop in and get some grub.

Good spaced and very decent place. It's near A5 gate so was super convenient. Surprisingly enough they served the food very quickly and that was helpful. I got grilled chicken ranch and bacon burger with side salad. I asked for no bacon but it was nice of them to give it on the side as a teoption. It was good quality and tasty. Sufficient seating place so was able to sit and eat comfortably too in the decent place to board the flight quickly.

Incredibly over priced. Go to other spots at the airport. Wings and chicken seemed like they'd been fried a while ago and refried when we put the order in. Paper plates which is kinda lame when you're paying more than $20 for a sit down dish. Wings were really bad. The pesto burger was decent, not great but it was fine. The salad was pretty bad. See the picture. Servers were friendly. They did a good job. The food was just pretty weak - even by airport standards.

Great beers on tap and plenty of TV'S to watch the game. The burger and fries were very tasty and came out quick.
