The Sweet Spot

It's been awhile since I last ate at the Sweet Spot. I will be the first to admit that my expectations were pretty low. However, I was shocked to see that they were packed on a Sunday morning. Thankfully we were able to be seated immediately at what looked to be the last available table. I took that as a good sign. We sat for awhile before our server came to greet us. We hadn't realized that the menu was via a QR code on the table. Once I pulled it up, I was pleasantly surprised to see a menu that was a bit more elevated than the traditional diner food that I remembered before. Just a note that the menu definitely favors carnivores. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Bowl but switched out the cheese and asked for my bacon on the side, which I gave to my son. My daughter ordered the fruit crepe. My son was happy to take advantage of the gluten free French toast. The food was good. My kids ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a hot chocolate with oat milk. Neither were blown away. So I probably would stick to basic drinks like juice or coffee. All of the servers appeared to be high school/ college girls. They were all polite. I have no issues with returning again in the future.

The inside, quite appropriately, looks like coffee shop. Indeed there is a section of the restaurant devoted to being a coffee shop.My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast. She ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the biscuit and gravy bowl. We also both ordered a side of grits.There were a few shortcomings with service that I would not have expected as I have found those to be rather standard for a sit down restaurant. For instance, there was no creamer on the table. We had to ask for it. Then when I asked if the scrambled eggs were from fresh eggs, as opposed to poured out of a carton, the waitress smirked at the suggestion. The grits were not creamy and did not come with butter. When I asked for butter I was given some sort of butter substitute which tasted awful. Finally, we were only given one refill of our coffee during the meal.That being said, my daughter enjoyed her sandwich and seemed to like what she was served there. I was not terribly impressed, however, and don't plan to return anytime soon.

We wanted some coffee and the Sweet Spot popped up as an option we never had so we decided to try it out. Since we originally only went for coffee and decided we wanted food once we got there, this ended up being a to go order experience. The server that helped us was nice and the place had a few people in it for a weekday morning, but wasn't busy and we didn't have to wait to long for our coffee and food. I ordered a latte, it was fine. Nothing spectacular but it hit the spot. I also ordered pancakes and bacon. When we got home the first thing I noticed was my 2 pancakes were huge and fluffy, so that was a plus. I also noticed my order of bacon was supposed to be 4 pieces and was actually like 8. So, that was really fun!The reason for my 3 star review is because that beautiful surprise double order of bacon also had a surprise piece of thick long black hair.... That really put a damper on the food mood once I saw it. I saw it after the fact so, yes I had already eaten most of my food. The hair was in the bacon box on the extra slices. Can't say I'll be going back to this spot any time soon.

went to the sweet spot for a solo breakfast this morning and it was absolutely amazing! jana was my server and she was very kind and attentive, the food was great, and it wasn't too loud and distracting while i enjoyed my food even for a saturday afternoon. 10/10 recommend!

We went to The Sweet Spot on a Friday morning around 10am. We were greeted quickly and placed a to-go order at the counter. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had an omelet, Nashville Scrambler Breakfast Bowl, and basic scrambled eggs and bacon. We enjoyed everything. The Breakfast Bowl had Nashville hot sauce which was so good. It had a sweet element and smoky spicy ness to follow. The restaurant is a small place but so homey and relaxing. Lots of soft lighting as well. Can't wait to try other menu items.

Food was good. Potatoes didn't have any seasoning. Omelets only come with egg and cheese. Everything else is a .65-.90 cent add on. Tea was amazing! There was no wait and the waiter was nice. I would stick to the pancakes, waffles, and French toast though.

Was in Concord running errands and wanted a good hearty breakfast. So decided to try them out. Wait was over 30min since such a small place and was pretty crowded. I got the omelette/pancake combo. Was very good but I do wish they had hot syrup in a bottle instead of packets of cold syrup. Hot would have definitely made the pancake better. My waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Love this spot across from our neighborhood. Their coffees are top notch and the staff is always friendly and personable. A laid back feel with great food.

First time visiting the place. The food and presentation could've been better. Doubt I would return.
