The Sweet Life

can't say enough great things about Sweet Life! We ordered three custom cakes for a special occasion, and I gave Lori some rough guidelines, trusting her to use creative imagination. The results were beyond our expectations.Each cake was a masterpiece--beautifully crafted and admired by everyone at the event. The attention to detail in the designs was stunning, and it was clear that Sweet Life put a lot of thought and care into their work.As for the taste? Absolutely phenomenal. The cakes were as delicious as they were gorgeous. Each bite was a perfect balance of flavor and texture, leaving our guests raving about how amazing they were.Sweet Life delivered on every front: creativity, quality, and taste. Has been our cake baker since moving to NC from CA. Cakes are always beautiful but taste really good too! And super affordable. Easy communication super quick and friendly. And the shop is clean and beautiful!

The best cupcakes ever!!! Always fresh, always yummy. They are large and I usually cut them in half. My granddaughter loves the macaroons. Today she got vanilla with sprinkles. She loves sprinkles! I got a chocolate expresso cupcake and an oatmeal creampie that leaves Little Debbie in the dust. They do beautiful custom cakes! So good!

We walked by here on a Saturday night around 7 pm and it was closed, but we saw people inside and one customer picking up a cake. We made eye contact, but kept walking. We circled back a few minutes later and the one worker came out and opened the shop back up for us. I think it helped that we had a bunch of kids with us.Needless to say, we bought a ton of stuff and was limited to what was on display. The inside of the shop is cute, but there is no room to eat there. The decor is old school and feels very mom and pop. I had the red velvet cupcake, which was very good! I also had a bite of a friend's vanilla chai cheesecake. The slice was huge and was so good, extremely rich, this slice is sharable for sure. The staff was great and we are grateful for them opening just for us!

The only negative thing I will say is that you will likely have to find parking in a parking garage several buildings down because there is no parking near this cute little shop. This is located in downtown Concord where the roads are narrow, the buildings are old, and there's lots of construction. It's not a bad thing, but it's something to be aware of. My boyfriend and I stopped in about two hours before closing and we snatched up the majority of what was left in the case. We got two s'mores cupcakes and two peach cupcakes for our friend, I got some sort of caramel macaron, which made me wonder what the heck I had been eating until now. These macarons were next level! If all you've ever had is from Target's bakery, Komma Tea, or Sunflower Bakery, seriously try them here! I got a strawberry cake bomb, which was basically like a cake pop minus the stick. It was so moist and tender and delicious. I may or may not have moaned while eating it, just saying. My boyfriend snatched up a bunch of their caramelitas, and he is obsessed with them now, talking about this being our regular bakery and needing to come back every now and again. He's seriously already talking about having this place make my birthday cake in September, so I'm going to have some serious thinking to do in terms of flavor and design. If you have a sweet tooth or you need a good baker, seriously check this place out.

I ordered 48 cupcakes, 8 flavors 40 a birthday party. Not only was the staff extremely nice but the cupcakes were awesome. That was the opinion of all 25 guests and staff we gave some to.Also the prices were very reasonable! Great job The Sweet Life.

She made beautiful delicious cupcakes for a baby shower! Three different flavors and she did a different swirl on each flavor - so unique!

I can't say enough good things about this bakery! I ordered a white chocolate raspberry cake for my daughter's 16th birthday celebration. The cake was absolutely beautiful! She wanted swans on top and Lori made them herself!! The cake itself was the moistest cake I've ever had. It was just pure joy!! We also bought some macarons for the party and the kids said they were better than Amelie's! The bakery itself is so charming and everything in the cases looked HEAVENLY!! We can't wait to go back!

Amazing! Fantastic! Delicious!!! We had a family member sprinkle shower, and the cake was made by the Sweet Life. It was an almond cake with a raspberry filling and a buttercream frosty. Cannot say enough about it. It has to be the best cake Ever made by any bakery and we've had a lot of cakes made. We will definitely be a return customer! Thank you Lori
