The Smoke and Oak

I've very recently started dabbling in whiskeys and cigars as a man in my 30's trying to find new and more sophisticated ways to spend time with friends. The days of pounding shots in bars are long behind me and not fun anymore. But a cigar lounge and a glass of whiskey feels relaxed and more sophisticated.The Smoke & Oak has been on my wish list list for a while and I'm happy I finally went! The location is nondescript, looking like a normal house from the street were it not for the sign. Street parking was not difficult to find. Inside, the ambiance is great. Soft warm lighting, ample plush leather chairs for seating, attractive displays of cigars and a huge selection of whiskeys. The staff are passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly and made great recommendations. Walking in as a complete novice felt intimidating, and they made it much easier than I expected. I was taught basic terminology and options on pairings.Pricing felt reasonable and fair. The atmosphere was extremely laid back and relaxing. Socializing and networking with the other men was fun. I'll absolutely come back and you should too.

This place has it all, all the way up to the owner. Pure class. The Whiskey and Bourbon selections second to none. The cigars are kept well and fresh. The setting is sexy

I don't smoke cigars by my aficionado friend do. I love the smell of cigar. You should too if you go there. It's a great place to watch sports. They also have a private room. The staff is great! No food unless they have a special event. Follow on Facebook.

My wife and I stopped in The Smoke and Oak for the first time to check it out and grab a quick drink before dinner. We had seen an ad for it online and thought it was a great idea and welcome addition to Lexington so we wanted to check it out!Just barely north of downtown on center street Smoke and Oak is in an old house that has been converted into a lounge atmosphere. Very unassuming from the outside I really like the atmosphere inside. Lots of oak (of course!) and leather gave it a nice classy look. there are a handful of different rooms to grab a spot in and a very nice large patio area in the back. I believe most if not all the room and the patios also had large tvs. They also have wifi which is really nice as this could certainly be a decent place to come and get a little work done!Upon entering we were greeted by a few staff and we were quickly set up with an annual membership and shown around. Of course the most important part, the selection! The whiskey selection was pretty good! Much better than other restaurants/bars around the area and I am sure it will only get better. They have only been open for I believe 5 weeks we were told. The prices for the whiskeys I looked at seemed very fair compared to other places I have seen them. Our bartender was very helpful in helping me find something to try that I may enjoy based on a couple favorites and what I had not tried before. They did have a couple cocktail options including a cheer wine old fashioned which I tried that was very good! Additionally I know they had a few beers, wine, and cider available. If anything I think it may be good to have just a small selection of a few other spirits for making cocktails for those that are not whiskey drinkers, but again, it is a whiskey bar primarily!As for cigars, I definitely do not know much about cigars, but from what I could tell they did have a very good selection and had plenty of ashtrays and lighters set up so you could find a good spot to indulge in your cigar!Overall I was very impressed in Smoke and Oak and I will definitely be returning and cannot wait to see where it goes from here! Oh, and I love the incorporating of the pig into the logo! Would definitely purchase a sticker or maybe a glass with the logo!

First time in I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was given a tour and I must say every area is absolutely charming. Lots of leather and wood. Plenty of drink selections but a few cigars to choose from. I could spend a lot of time here!

Can't believe it's in Lexington.... This place beats them all. Friendly atmosphere with a staff that just loves people, not to mention the bourbon selection is unreal, and the cigar selection is great and getting better!! Tons of space to relax and hang with friends and watch a game. HIGHLY recommended for anyone in town or out....

This place is a great place to sit enjoy a cigar, whiskey/bourbon and watch a game or do some work!

We took a day trip to Lexington, NC this was a gem we were encouraged to visit. We were NOT disappointed. Chris, Randy and Julie were very welcoming. Great atmosphere, very laid back. The selection of cocktails and cigars were on point. We were pleased and will definitely be back. Do yourself a favor and stop by!! Side note: parking is directly in front or across the street.

Great venue with a great atmosphere. I stopped in here while in the area for work and couldn't have been happier with me experience. Courtney and his team have done an excellent job with their bourbon and cigar choices. Very relaxing seating that doesn't give you the normal cramped feel and all the amenities that you'd expect from a quality cigar lounge. I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!
