Budget friendly, country fare with a neighborhood following. Expect a typical 2-3 choices for daily specials and a laundry list of sides in addition to regular menu offerings. We dined here only for lunch but have noticed their parking lot full for breakfast on Saturday.Like a few others stated it was just OK. I understand the need to keep prices down; however, frozen meats and canned veggies don't cut the mustard for me. Maybe I'll give their breakfast a whirl.

Pleasantly surprised. Really good food. Very good price. Very hospitable, polite and friendly. Only thing that I would improve is the cleanliness. I highly recommend.

Nice friendly people with great food and service. The shrimp and grits are to die for deliciously. Buttermilk pancakes are so scrumptious as well. Biscuits with gravy leaves you wanting more of that buttery biscuit and sausage gravy. Yes been awhile but I'm back with my Momma. She enjoyed everything.

Good food and service but not a lot of healthy options. Typically southern, in that just about everything is thrown until the deep fat fryer. The green bean side was delicious and their fried flounder was some of the best I've had in a while. My partner said the steak sandwich was a good call.I've been told their breakfast is wonderful but I've not been there for it yet. It's clean and friendly and it's a 5 star when only considering restaurants in Monroe. A few healthier options for the few of us Westerners would be great because clearly the cook here CAN cook and healthy would probably taste good too!

inconsistent. Great one time horrible the next. Only restaurant that has been asked that does NOT contribute to our active duty military through packages of jelly etc.

Classic old-school American diner - the real deal! Great place for breakfast, with more variety of food options than other places. Friendly efficient service from the three waitresses running the place.

Great service during the week. Went twice on weekend and had to get up and go get my silverware both times.Certain food items great. Some mediocre.

If I could give this place a negative 0, I would. I can't rate the food because we never got service. We went there for breakfast last Friday. After seating ourselves, we waited for someone to come to our table to take a drink order or at least greet us, which never happened. Mind you, we sat at a booth where at the booth beside us, a waitress was taking an order. After about 20 minutes, it was clear that we were not going to get any kind of service so we decided to leave. While leaving, a waitress looked me straight in the eye and still didn't say a word. It's almost sad that the county is going backwards at a real fast pace. It's 2022, not 1922.
