We were In Hendersonville NC for a change (typically we visit Asheville). We absolutely loved the downtown. On Sunday we booked brunch for Silo Cookhouse. I have an upcoming November event at the farm and thought this would be a great time for a site visit. We had an amazing tour from Kristen and then we enjoyed brunch. The food served is 30% from the farm and 70% local within the county. The quality and presentation was beautiful. The food was so good! We sat at a community table which was actually great. We were spaced out from other groups but had interaction here and there to discuss the food and ambiance. I am excited to come back for my event and enjoy the dinner service.

When my folks moved to Hendersonville, the Horse Shoe Farm was, you know, a working farm. A few weeks back, mom noticed a new sign advertising dining and a spa so we decided to check out the Silo Cookhouse for brunch after Sunday church - and we're really glad we decided to stop in. The Cookhouse is set up with communal tables and they set folks up spaced out nicely - we were out on the screened in porch area. It's a warm day in the mountains but the porch is temperature controlled so we had a very enjoyable spot to enjoy our meal. Our server Erin was attentive and super friendly, helpful in making choices and made it a special brunch. The homemade biscuits are made western style, not the typical southern biscuits but we didn't mind in the slightest. The marmalade and berry jam were both perfect for the biscuits with the whipped cream butter. Erin offered in advance to box up the extras...yeah...not necessary The boozy hot tea (loaded with gran marnier) tasted great as I'm nursing a bit of a cold. I assume it was medicinal so I was drinking to my health, right ? I had the breakfast hash - a nice mix of breakfast sausage, greens, onions and potatoes topped with some perfectly cooked eggs. Mom had the homemade sourdough avocado toast and hers was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed our brunch so much we asked to take a glance at the dinner menu - definitely a place worth visiting again and again ! If you're in western North Carolina, get the Silo Cookhouse on your list !1

Had a beautiful dinner there Saturday night. Wish we had arrived an hour earlier and had a drink outside and enjoyed the beautiful grounds. The entire experience was 5 stars from the beautiful dining rooms to our waiter to the food. The waitstaff opened the curtains at sunset so we all could see!! We had a glass of wine by the fire on the patio after dinner and the entire experience was just amazing!

A wonderful oasis with great cocktails and wine, and amazing food! The communal tables offer a great chance to meet new friends. Bartender and server were on point. Take a short walk out to the bonfire after dinner, or check out the game room!

I have been vacationing at Horse Shoe Farm with my family since they started serving food in the Silo Cookhouse- including the past two years when my granddaughter was 3 months old and 15 months old. Other reviewers have already mentioned how wonderful and creative the food is. It is the people who bring us back year after year. The staff at the Silo Cookhouse have always been do welcoming to me and my family. To be clear- this is not really a restaurant where you would likely, find small children. But my son and daughter in law were put at ease by everyone loving on their daughter and reassuring them that she would be fed well (and quickly!). But what really brought me to write this is thoughts of one of the desserts we had- I will post a pic- it was a merengue served with berries and it was eyes- roll- behind- your- head good

What a magical place! We went for dinner and can't wait to return for more adventures, yes...you read right. This place was so inspiring. The food delicious, the drinks outstanding and the service from mixologists Tina and recommendations from Elliot were on point. I can't say enough about this great hidden gem. Loved everything about it!!! Game room, a little campfire to end the night and the moonlight right after dinner was spectacular.

Birthdays are often best celebrated with those you love and the restaurant you find endearing to provide the next level of experience. I recently celebrated my sixtieth birthday with my boyfriend who treated me to dinner at The Silo Cookhouse. To be honest, I wasn't prepared for how the evening was to unfold as it did this particular evening. We arrived fifteen minutes early and were greeted warmly by our hostess who suggested we sit at the bar until our table was ready. Once the table was ready our server Millicent provided us with warm, casual conversations, sprinkled with a touch of humor. She explained and offered suggestion's that took the pressure off, deciding from the array of culinary delights from the dinner and dessert menus. Her demeanor and professionalism were predicated by her love of how she delivered and served our food. She obviously loves what she does as it shows in her service. We decided on the rib eye and the fresh fish.Chef Dan is an artist and culinary genius with how the food is prepared and served. We were overwhelming delighted from this beautiful experience and will continue to suggest, patronize and support this beautiful restaurant. A must!

The best meal in the mountains!!Darryl was an amazing waiter! The chef is one of the absolute best!! The atmosphere is very relaxed and so very cute! We had reservations but there was availability for walk-ins. Please don't miss the best food and dinning experience!! We were a party of four and ordered several appetizers and shared. Everything was amazing! We then each ordered a different mains and tasted all as well! Everything was over the top delicious and very creative presentation! This was an experience NOT to be missed!!
