I found this venue from other reviews and postings, and I'm so glad I did!! I was looking was a space to host a large company party and the Palmer building couldn't have been more perfect. We had over 450 people that came throughout and we used both the indoor and outdoor space and it did not feel overcrowded. We had a live band, 2 open bars, live indoor ice carving, a food truck and used the outdoor patio for eating and overflow. Coordinating and communicating with the staff at the venue was easy, responsive and very friendly. They provide many of the rentals (chairs and various table)...and for any additional rentals there's a rental place within a mile that we used. I rented the space site unseen and everything came out better than expected. Thank you so much for helping make it a very successful event!!

If you are looking for a venue to use for an upcoming event in the Charlotte area...look no further! The Palmer building was absolutely wonderful for my husband and I. We recently held our wedding reception there and not only was the space gorgeous and reasonably priced but the staff was amazing. Gretchen, Allie, and Anji were knowledgeable, helpful, and very easy to work with. We are so glad we went with The Palmer Building.

My husband and I used The Palmer Building to hold our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception during Memorial day weekend. We were living aboard while planning for our wedding and Ali, Gretchen, and Anjie couldn't have been easier to work with. We reached out to many other venues in Charlotte and they were definitely not as responsive or helpful. The ladies at The Palmer Building were quick to respond and transparent about the venue, price, bar service, and catering. They allowed me to view the building multiple times. They are the sweetest! The weather turned out perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We got married in front of the outdoor chimney and it was lovely. I had 105 guests and they sat comfortably on chairs on the lawn. Inside everyone moved around with ease from bar, to the restrooms, and to the dinner tables. There is a chimney inside that can be turned into a lounge area, but I chose the spot to be the main spot for photo taking. The entire event turned out lovely. The Palmer Building works with some of the most professional people. I enjoyed every aspect about the experience.

There are plenty of medium - large ish event venues in Charlotte. Some are new, some are old and some are just pretty cool. The Palmer Building falls into the old & cool categories. This 1930s fireman's hall is restored but still hosts plenty of character with its gorgeous brick facade, dark wood floors and open banquet space. There's also a nice stage space which is perfect for a small production, speech or screen drop. I've been here for a few different events and have enjoyed the space thoroughly. Parking can be a bit tight out front, but there's usually a fair amount of room near the back. If you're looking for a cool event or reception space, The Palmer Building should be on your short list!

The Palmer Building is an old firehouse turned into a great event space. Fireplace, stage, two-story ceiling, bathrooms and a great staff made perfect use for the recent Red Pump/Red Tie event.Located off 7th street and Firefighters Lane/drive, the building us tucked at the end. Parking is plentiful all around the building. If you're attending an event there with a cash bar, make sure to pick up some cash before as there's no ATM. Closet ATM is on Monroe one mile away.

Ali has been wonderful to work with. She patiently answered our questions and guided us through the booking process. The venue is beautiful, with places for photos. I also like how hard the staff worked to help us with decoration on the day of the wedding--something I didn't expect.

I love The Palmer Building. One of the biggest obstacles I had was finding a venue for our wedding ceremony/reception. I had one I was working with before finding The Palmer Building and they were terrible. The event coordinator was terribly unresponsive, unhelpful, there were fees and extra costs that were not given up front. I walked away from them and then went on my hunt for a new venue. After looking at a ton of options I found TPB. I spoke to Tom, the president and after meeting him and Anjie the event coordinator I was sold on the spot. The venue itself is gorgeous outside and inside. The cost may seem high at first but after you look at everything you get for the cost and there are NO hidden fees you realize that it's actually a GREAT deal. So not only are they a good value and so nice and wonderful to work with but the day of our wedding and reception everything was smooth and seamless. If you are looking for a venue, this is your place. Great people, great location, beautiful scenery inside and out and great value.
