The Original New York Bagels

I'm a fan of this place - hard to find a good bagel shop in Charlotte, especially one well priced.My husband and I got the egg white special and the #2. The #2 was $8.99 and was very large - bagel with cream cheese, either potatoes or hashbrowns, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of meat (we got sausage)Service was good, bagels are good and prices are good. We have also done their weekend special before which is 6 bagels, 1/2 lb of cream cheese & 2 muffins for $15)

I'm from NYC. These are NOT NYC bagels nor are they anything like NYC bagels. Also the mini versions of their drinks are excessively overpriced and is the only thing "NY" about this store. If you are from NYC and like bagels that taste like home here's my advice: buy a cheap roundtrip ticket to NYC, (Spirit/Frontier), take an uber to Utopia Bagels, buy a few dozen, put them in your suitcase, bring them back home and freeze them for future bagel eating pleasure.

This is one of my favorite spots to drop in and grab a bagel or bagel sandwich for breakfast. The staff is friendly and the food is great. I usually get the nova on a bagel or an egg and cheese bagel. This no frills spot is easy on the wallet and perfect for a quick bite to eat. They have many varieties of bagels to choose from as well as other deli items. Worth checking out!

The people here are nice but the quality of their actual bagels are awful for a bagel shop.The last bagel I had here had the consistency of something that sat out for a few days - there was no way that it was freshly made... and it if was, probably time to reconsider whoever is baking them and start fresh, pun intended. They also don't seem to understand the smaller details like salt and pepper, hot sauces etc - some of the things that make a real New York deli special.

I don't intend to be rude, but generally I like my bagels untoasted. If you are the same, you need to stay away from here and go to the Bagel Bin. The workers were great and everyone else seemed happy, so maybe the bagels are good toasted and maybe the other items are great.The "freshest" bagel they have though is worse than a store bought one that has sat around for a week in a plastic bag.

Haven't been here in a few years and we were looking forward to a Jewish deli experience that was so good years ago. Menu has changed since our last visit. Potato latkes are no longer on the menu. When I asked if they had them, the gentleman said yes and then I was served standard pancakes. Quite a different meal! I sent back the pancakes because that is not what I was there for!!Husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. Restaurant looks like standard deli, with the cabinet showing the different types of Jewish deli food.

Closed early! It says on yelp the establishment is closed at 3pm and on Google at 2pm. Got here at 1:45 and it's closed smh.

I don't know why the reviews are so bad, this was great for Sunday breakfast with the family. We all got different things and they were good. Obviously it's no New York bagel but definitely deserves more than 3 stars. I got the nova and it came with a good amount of lox. They don't have specialty coffee but they do offer different kinda of regular coffee (French vanilla, hazelnut, decaf, etc.)

Just stopped in to purchase some bagels. Would not ever go back. I have tasted day old bagels that were not as stale as these supposedly fresh bagels.

The food is low quality and the service is HORRIBLE!!!I called to complain but was told that the manager is currently on vacation with no planned return date. It seems the manager is not interested in customer feedback. That explains the poor food quality and service.I hope the owners know that the manager is currently on vacation.
