So, our couples group does a weekly rotation brunch throughout Charlotte and surrounding areas. This place came up in my Huntersville search. I made a reservation for 18-ppl a couple months ago for our Sun, 9/15 outing. The person I spoke to confirmed they could accommodate 20-ppl to order off the standard menu. I gt a bad feeling when I called Thurs prior to our date to confirm and got the comment "18 people on a Sunday???" I wasn't sure what that meant, but got confirmation that they had an outside area thwy could seat us. We get there a little before our scheduled 12:30pm time and although there was a covered deck and other tented tables, they had arranged for us to sit at an uncovered, wooden picnic table and benches on the front lawn, with the threat of rain. I asked if we could be seated in one of the covered areas, but there was nothing available. I asked if we could wait for a table, but after several minutes was told they only had the lawn table foe us. I then asked if we could, at least get a tablecloth, only to learn after several minutes of continued waiting, there was no tablecloths available. So, I take my 14-person group (2 couples were no-show) and head down to the grass, in my 3.5 inch heels. We order drinks, mostly teas, lemonades, and water. My guy asked what type of IPAs they offered. The waitress wasn't sure, bit said she'd go back and check. After about 15-mins of that not happening, he gave up on the IPA. Food orders were placed and we were then graced with all the catch up time we needed until everyone started wondering what happened with the order. We receive food a few mins before 2pm. -- My girlfriend takes one look at her crab cake and decides not to eat-- I ordered the Lox Platter w/9-grain toast, cooked darkly. I get stale smoked salmon, with soggy toast and a block of hardened cream cheese (I just covered it with a napkin and continued to enjoy the table conversation)-- My guy is happy his grits are cooked nice and thick, only to try them and realize they had not been seasonedThere were several other comments around the table about the dishes received and the bugs we had to endure while eating in the front yard, leading to a unanimous vote to remove this restaurant from rotation. Know Before You Go!

I am 100% confident this is the first of many many times I will be gushing about The Neighborhood Cafe. Super friendly, super laid back vibe, and super classic flavors. Nothing was a surprise and everything tasted fantastic. Our server was so nice and attentive during a busy lunch rush, and it was just a great experience overall! My only concern would be going when it's super crowded and having to sit at the high tops with the nightmare chairs outside. Haha! While they are super cute, they are not friendly to all bodies!

Hands down our favorite brunch place! Inside dining is tight but cozy, but they have a ton of outdoor seating in a beautiful setting. Service is always great and quick! We usually get breakfast, but their lunch is amazing, too! And I'm not a drinker, but love Bloody Marys and they make best virgin Bloody Mary you'll ever have! They do have lots of good-looking brunch drinks if you enjoy those! And their home fries are a must order if you like seasoned potatoes. We've tried lots of things here, and every single thing we've ordered has been delicious!

I remember when this place was Toast, then Cafe 100, I just recently tried it under the new name. Pricing might be a few dollars more, or that could just be a sign of the times. Everything was really good, and service was friendly. I really enjoyed the decor/vibe as well. The hiring manager likes attractive young female servers, that was blatantly obvious. I'll just say that and move on. Lots of options on the menu, but the crab cake benedict is only a dollar or 2 more than the rest of the of the benedicts so that seemed like the best choice for me. Great bang per buck, a little bit doughy on the crab cakes, but that was expected given the price. A different server ran the food out to me and yet another kept my water full. All attentive and friendly.I'll be back, seems like a place that might get really busy on weekend brunch though. And I'm not sure how well this place will stay cool in the warmer months, but if the weather is nice, I'm sitting outside anyhow.

I'm still thinking about the crab cake Benedict I had here. Also had a great dessert. Keep in mind the parking is limited and it can get pretty packed but other than that this place is pretty good.

Stopped by the Neighborhood Café, and wow--this place knows how to do breakfast right. From the moment I walked in, the staff was super friendly and on top of everything, making the whole experience even better. The classic Eggs Benedict was absolute perfection, with perfectly poached eggs and a rich, velvety hollandaise that hit just right. The biscuits and gravy? Unreal. Fluffy, buttery biscuits smothered in some of the best gravy I've had in a long time. And even though I didn't order them, stealing a couple bites of the home fries was totally worth it--crispy, well-seasoned, and ridiculously good.On top of the killer food, they've got a great outdoor seating area--perfect for a laid-back weekend brunch when the weather's nice. Great food, great service, and a cool spot to just hang out!
